Around SBN: Diego Sanchez and the Dangers of Fame in MMA

According to Lider en Deportes, Edwin Valero has been arrested yet again, this time for crashing his car and fleeing the scene, once again while intoxicated. Valero was out because he had received approval to have his alcohol rehab in Cuba, where he was supposed to fly today. Because of the latest incident, he will not be able to rehab in Cuba. Supposedly, the governor of the district where Valero resides will be meeting with Huge Chavez to discuss how Valero should rehabilitate without suffering a further relapse.

What an idiot..

"Boxing is dirty," said Casamayor. " The day I’m not ready to be a dirty fighter is the day I don’t fight anymore because it will mean that I have no heart for it anymore."

He needs to have an intervention and have Johnny Tapia come as the “after” shot if he doesn’t clean up.

Between Kirkland and Valero, we’re losing two of the best talents in boxing right now.

Kirkland seems like a good guy with poor habits like carrying firearms….
Valero just seems like scum. I’m ok with him going away….

And robbing folks with them! That’s a pretty bad habit.

As Ned Flanders Might Say........

Sounds like Valero’s career could soon be done for……..

TEDster the poor guy was just racing home to take care of his poor uncoordinated wife who took an unfortunate tumble down the stairs that bit her, punched her, choked her and collapsed her lung. GOT TO WATCH OUT FOR THOSE MANEATING SOUTHPAW STAIRS MAN.

The governor and the president of a country are meeting over what to do with this clown? Totally nuts.

It’s bizzare that he’s gone so far off the rails… Like lcollins1 said, we’re losing the best talents in boxing between Kirkland and Valero, two exciting action fighters that have promising careers ahead. I wrote something on Valero earlier in the week, but I didn’t expect him to follow suit and create more problems for himself. http://www.theboxingtribune.com/2010/04/valero-problems-create-us-burden.html

Can we get an Intervention episode already? It seems to have worked for Rocky L.

Looks like Valero isn't the only guy

who was arrested in the last 24 hours for fleeing the scene of an accident while drunk.

i heard somewhere that valero was being looked at as the next victim for pacuiao.. if thats true i dont know if itll feel good to watch a wife beater get his head handed to him or see pacman waste his time fighting a lesser opponent. as if clottey wasnt enough..
