Who the fuck got a title shot after losing an eliminator?
Angulo….
What happened to the winner? Did he get a title shot
Seriously… why the fuck are you bitching?
"Boxing is dirty," said Casamayor. " The day I’m not ready to be a dirty fighter is the day I don’t fight anymore because it will mean that I have no heart for it anymore."
I agree. I didn’t even know he was fighting either until Jesse Rican told me he would be on OnThEGRiND BOXiNG on Thursday. They got him to give up his date to be part of a bigger co-promotion, but then decided not to promote that part of it after he was aboard.
Hey Ted (I know you are around here somewhere) – Our Jesse was one of the 2 or 3 reporters to ask him about the fight. HBO dropped the ball.
Who does this guy think he is?
He took an ass-whipping from Kermit Frickin’ Cintron, for gods sakes. He’s a plodding, one dimensional fighter, and he’s received more hype than is warranted, in my book.

Please Angulo....act like you have a pair.
Go out and win in dominant fashion and give them a reason to hype you. Your name on the poster is where it belongs until fols are clamoring to see you.

While everyone is dead on in their critique, why does everyone remember the Cintron fight being a lot wider than I do? I remember it being 8-4 or 7-5 close with Cintron seemingly having little left at the final bell.
I thought it was closer than just about anyone did. I thought if anyone won the fight, Cintron did, but it was not a blowout. I think people remember it as being really wide because Cintron was supposed to get run over by Angulo’s pressure, but instead Kermit boxed and surprised just about everyone.

Angulo seems to be a fighter who fights better angry. His opponent Julio ain’t much of a talker. I think this is just him finding something to get angry about. I mean the fight is kind of meaningless. Julio is no longer a prospect and he has shown he’s no where near elite. He’s lost every time he’s stepped up. I expect him to get blown away on Saturday. I don’t know who convinced Julio to become a boxer. That person needs to be dismissed. Julio ain’t no boxer or mover. The only chance he has against Angulo is to meet him straight up and trade bombs. Julio does still possess power. He needs to rely on it like he use to. All that moving and throwing punches off that back foot like he did against Kirkland ain’t going to work against Angulo. It’s only going to lead to another beating and another L.
And while Angulo did lose to Cintron he was by no means dominated. I mean come on now
If a man ain't found something worth dying for. He ain't fit to live.
I'm all for this.....
if he comes out and steamrolls Julio. Then he can take on a Bernard Hopkins like essence. If not, well then what a dumbass.
Ah yeah. Sure

the fact that they actually showed him in slow-mo against yorgey was pretty dumb. it was clear he shouldnt have been fighting angulo to begin with but then hbo pumps it up like “after dominating yorgey..”
Damn near almost getting beheaded by Angulo was Yorgey’s reward for beating Ronald Hearns.

Matinez awaits...
Well Cintron won BUT that said Angulo was coming on and had figured Cintron out by the end.Angulo is a much better fighter than he showed that night as the loss did him some good.I’d pay mega $’s to see Angulo Vs.Martinez or Margaito !!! Hells how about a rematch between Martinez and Margarito with Angulo taking on the winner ? All fight of the year canidates IMO !!!
It's not a matter of "IF" the North will break you. It's a matter of "WHEN" the North will break you.For up here every year counts as two on the outside.

Most people on this site
Would rather never see Margarito never pick up a good payday again, regardless of how much he may get beaten up.

Maybe
Maybe but we’ll never know the whole truth so as long as he’s under full scrutiny I’d like to see him back although withholding some of his purse and lessening it each fight thereafter would be the way to go forward IMO.

I don't see why someone
Who perpetrates the greatest offence in boxing, and put his opponent’s life at serious risk, deserves back in to boxing at all.

Would
be interesting to me to see a Angulo/Cintron rematch.
I agree that Angulo is better than he showed that night.
KO Kermit and then maybe get schooled by Martinez.
Martinez really would take him to the woodshed
It would be entertaining while it lasted though!
