The second edition of the Prizefighter series focusing on the cruiserweights starts in about 30 minutes, and we'll be here to talk about it live.
The tournament's favorite is Herbie Hide, seen to your right. And he's a heavy, heavy favorite. Glenn McCrory attempted to come up with any way that Hide doesn't win the tournament and sounded like he was grasping at straws.
Here are the first round matchups:
Mark Krence (24-7, 6 KO) v. Zahid Kahut (4-1, 0 KO)
Leon Williams (4-1, 2 KO) v. Jon-Lewis Dickinson (5-0, 0 KO)
Darren Corbett (28-5-1, 16 KO) v. John Anthony (7-11, 5 KO)
Herbie Hide (48-4, 43 KO) v. Wayne Brooks (5-2-2, 2 KO)
This might be the worst lineup Prizefighter has put together to date. But we're gonna watch it. Dave Oakes of The Boxing Bulletin had a nice preview, and picks Hide over Dickinson in the finals.
