Golden Boy finalized another bout for the May 1 Shane Mosley-Floyd Mayweather HBO PPV undercard. Mexico's Daniel Ponce De Leon (38-2, 32 KOs), an ex-junior featherweight titlist, faces Mayweather protégé Cornelius Lock (19-4-1, 12 KOs) in a featherweight bout.
From Dan Rafael's weekly notebook. Both men knocked out Orlando Cruz in their last fights, although it took two rounds fewer for de Leon to do the deed. On paper, this should be a solid action fight, and one almost certain to end before the distance.

I like Ponce De Leon. He is a dangerous man to get inside on. Unless you are Juanma, or a giant freakshow who doesn’t have to. Good undercard.

yeah, it's a nice fight
Here’s hoping it won’t suck like Ponce de Leon’s last Mayweather undercard fight, not that that was his fault.

He also mentioned that Alvarez-Cotto is almost official.

I don't see it happening
So it’s probably not worth an article. Valuev stands to make much more by just enforcing his contractual rematch clause.
