Cool

Its funny only because of BK’s and Floyd’s tense on-air interactions in the past. I bet the general public would not find it as funny as we do

True but..

something like that would provoke me to look it up. I’ve done it plenty of times before. If I didn’t follow boxing and I saw that, I would google or youTube “Kenny and Mayweather”. In the end I think it just increases awareness of the brand.

thats what i thought. everyone knows that PBF’s first loss & second loss was to brian kenny, and the fact that he can joke about it afterwards shows some class

No doubt about it being a good thing that ESPN is interested in boxing again. And I like Floyd when he does things like this. We know BK and Floyd get into arguments, but they don,y hold a grudge. The seem friendly and Floyd has knack for talking shit to someone and then after they fight, becoming at least civil with the person. Hell Pac and Floyd could become friends

by HozuHasefan on May 12, 2010 10:06 AM EDT reply actions

On the primary channell, ESPN, their on air personalities consistently declare the sport dead, they only talk about it when there is controversy, and they never cover anything outside of a mega-fight. But on ESPN Classics they basically show nothing but boxing.

Either it does good rating for you or it doesn’t. It’s foolish.

by tkeithwhite on May 12, 2010 11:06 AM EDT up reply actions

Ratings have nothing to do with anything on ESPN Classic. Cost to air does. Boxing’s cheap for ESPN Classic.

Eh, I haven't heard them bash it as much lately.

The biggest thing has been the Pac/PBF Superfight, and what is left that people want to see after that fight.

Which is actually a great question. Not so much because there isn’t anything after… but because if people take the time to look into what fights and fighters are coming up, they may just find that the sport is not only not dead…. put pretty damn exciting right now.

I love it! Always good to see boxing with some mainstream coverage. It would be funny even if you didn’t know about their beef.

The punching bag hanging over the desk is hilarious.

Floyd’s delivery is pretty good there. In order for that to be funny, he needed to go for “sullen” rather than enraged or dismissive, and he did it well.

this is pretty good – saw it the other day on ESPN. They’ve got something. I hope they build on it. The dynamic will never be Cosell and Ali, but it might be cool nonetheless. Kenny can be the guy that directly, and somewhat tactfully calls Floyd on his bullshit, and Floyd can respond in kind and sometimes get pissed off.

No good for me.

Now, Tweek, boxing is a Man sport. There is nothing in the world more Man than boxing. It is Man at his most Man. So when you spar with Ned here, just dig deep into that most Man part of you. (Uncle Jimbo, South Park: Tweek vs Craig)

Thanks for posting another link

It doesn’t work because even though it’s posted somewhere else, the YouTube link is still the same. Apparently it’s on ESPN’s official YouTube channel. What we would need is a different link uploaded by someone else… I tried looking for it on YouTube but didn’t find it. I’m sure it’ll leak somewhere… but thanks for trying!
