Pacquiao agrees to terms to fight Mayweather
Mayweather has a deadline to sign for the fight by the end of the week. Considering how many false starts and stops this one has had, I wouldn't hold my breath.

I had hope for this recently
Since both parties didn’t say anything for a good long while. If Arum/Pac is whining to the press, it means that they put a shitty deal in front of Mayweather and are trying to pressure him into taking it. No other reason to do this. If it was a reasonable deal, they would have said nothing until the contract was agreed to and signed.
They agreed to a gag order
They agreed to a gag order before negotiations started. GBP was negotiating on behalf of Floyd so I’m assuming they crafted a deal that they felt Mayweather would accept. From what I’ve seen and read, the sticking point may be the date when they fight because of the current legal situation Roger Mayweather is in. They are not sure if Floyd will fight if Roger can’t be there to prepare him this year. I believe the contract specifies another date next year that Floyd can agree to as well.
You would think the gag order would work
but it hasn’t. This is old news that came out on Fanhouse at the end of June. Since the beginning of June Pacmans camp has been giving interviews to Fanhouse and put out this deadline to the media. Moslty his advisor and Arum keep talking even though they have not spoken on details of the fight.

I won't get too excited
But it’s better than nothing. Fingers crossed.

how come?
its big enough news, but just not worth getting excited over at this point. It’ll take a while for most of us to get excited again after the length of time its dragged out..

I think he is proabably
Still sceptical that this ever happens.

most pac-pbf developments have been relegated to the fanpost section since almost none of them ever lead to anything

Man, I hope this fight gets made
But I also want to know what exactly that Bob Arum sent to Mayweather for him to sign. Its not an agreement to fight Pacquaio because both fighters have already agreed they’ll fight each other. What Arum actually sent to Mayweather is what Pacquaio will agree to, and what he wont agree to, to fight Mayweather. But Arum comes out to the media and makes it sound like the form he sent Mayweather is a paper that simply says,:Do you agree to fight Manny Pacquaio on Nov 13, Yes/No. The form is what Manny will agree to and what he wont agree to, and Mayweather has to decide if he’ll accept Pacqauio’s terms.
GBP negotiated on behalf of Floyd
It wasn’t like Pacquiao and Arum got together in a room and crafted a document alone to send to Mayweather. He had representation there.
I know I shouldn't, but I can't help myself

Yup. Me too.

Something about this report seems false
What seems false? It’s Top Rank saying they sent Mayweather their terms of agreement and he has until the end of the week or they’re moving on.
Why hasn’t Mayweather’s camp said anything?
Because they have until the end of the week?

All it says is that Mayweather has a contract and that the terms in it have been agreed to by Pacquiao. It says nowhere that Mayweather has agreed to the terms.

I remember this leaking out a few weeks back
Not this exact story but one that mentioned both sides agreed to the terms. Everyone but Floyd.
Nothing in this story confirms anything we’ve discussed.
It pretty much just says Manny has agreed and Top Rank has a deadline out there for Floyd to answer to
They said it was the terms Mayweather's camp provided
Although with Bob Arum being Bob Arum, I’m sure he took some liberties with terms that weren’t specified.

For whatever it might be worth, tonight is the ESPYs and they’re both going to be there surrounded by the entire U.S. sports media.

If Floyd turns the fight down because Roger’s going to jail, I’m not really sure how I’ll feel about it. Would Manny have done the same if Freddie Roach was going to jail? We don’t know.
If Floyd turns the fight down because he wants a rest, then he can piss off out of the sport and stop wasting our time. I love watching the guy fight, but it would be ridiculous.

Well, probably, but then there’s the question of whether or not Manny would have a backup plan as good as Floyd Sr., which he wouldn’t. Who the shit would train Manny if Freddie was out? BUBOY?

I wonder if Manny would turn to the darkside and try to hire Nacho.

Or Floyd Mayweather Sr......

No way
First, Manny doesn’t speak Spanish that I know of. Second, Nacho wouldn’t want to deal with Manny’s entourage. He’s dropped fighters just because they sign a manager.

That’s true. I didn’t take into account Nacho’s diva tendencies. I suspect it would actually be Buboy if Manny and Freddie split for whatever reason. They’re familiar with one another and I think a lot of the time we forget that outside of just being a goofy fun guy on 24/7, Buboy is also the second in the corner and knows what he’s doing.

Yeah
For all Buboy can appear no more than a lovable comedy relief figure, I highly doubt that Roach would keep him around if he wasn’t actually capable.
