This is a card I can get behind. It isn’t exactly Shobox’s mission statement of prospect v prospect, but it fills the spirit of testing prospects anyway.
I really like the main event, in part because Ishe can win that fight. I’m a big Fernando fan, and this is a good, serious test for him at this stage.

What do you guys think of Steve Farhood?

Nice guy
Decent analyst. I like Bernstein better, but Farhood’s just fine, and unlike certain other boxing personalities, he’s not putting on a face for the camera.
I almost wish they just had two analysts in there instead of a blow-by-blow guy though. Both of Showtime’s blow-by-blow guys at the moment stink, and frankly, you just don’t need it. If someone’s watching Shobox, they can already look at the boxing match and know what they’re seeing.

Indeed
I have said before that I would be happy with just one analyst doing all the talking, but then I remember how I was when I first became a fan, and how useful I found the, now incredibly obvious, play – by – play from Lampley.

There absolutely should be a blow by blow guy for big fights
Where you have a lot of casual fans watching. But only hardcore boxing fans watch Shobox.

Gus Johnson is the greatest thing to ever happen to the ability for things to happen. Shame on all of you heathens. For I have walked in the valley of Gus, and I fear no decibel level.
There was a show, I forget which, that had Bernstein and Farhood working a two-man booth. They were terrific. Bernstein is a totally credible and competent PBP man along with being IMO the finest analyst on TV right now.

He is avery nice guy. Very humble and accessible. But he is too wrrapped up in the BWAA, but I'm not going down that road anymore.
I have said my piece. Steve is a good guy and knows boxing and poker.
Pray for Nick Charles
I really like him. Good analyst, seems like a genuinely nice person, and he never seems fake, like Brick said.
