Lebedev's team is wearing shirts that say "Putz Construction"

I’m sure Putz means something different in Russian than in Yiddish, but still…

Round 1

Alexeev comes out aggressive to start, bouncing on his toes and pumping out the jab. Lebedev with a nice big body shot, followed by a left hook. This is just strange to watch – a battle of two southpaw big men. Lebedev with a huge left hook and Alexeev is rocked!!! Lebedev is just trucking forward and launching full power shots to the body. Alexeev comes back with a couple of good jabs.

Lebedev with another left hook to the body. Seems like that might be his money shot this fight. Alexeev throwing a lot of jabs, but not much on them now. Lebedev finds another hole with a right hook that lands square on the jaw. Alexeev is landing that jab quite a bit, and it’s a good jab, but when Lebedev gets around it, he’s landing the harder punches. Alexeev with a nice 1-2 to close out the round, but not enough to take it.

10-9 Lebedev

Round 2

Lebedev comes out with a straight left, but Alexeev does a better job of getting our of the way. Alexeev uses a jab to set up a good straight left. So far, this is a pretty entertaining fight – good workrate for big guys, and neither one is afraid to mix things up. Alexeev trying to control the distance more now, and for the first time, Lebedev starts to throw out his own jab, which isn’t as good as Alexeev’s.

Lebedev with a jab to the body. He’s throwing some power shots, but he’s not connecting with them now, and as long as they’re in a jabbing contest, Alexeev is going to win that all day long. Lebedev with a big overhand left that barely misses. Lebedev comes in for a good combo AND A HUGE LEFT HOOK AND ALAXEEV IS DOWN!!! AND HE CAN’T GET UP!!!!

DENIS LEBEDEV KO2
