Briggs went down at pretty much the first punch thrown. A lot of contemporary reports are of the opinion that it was a blatant dive. The crowd booed heavily and threw bottles into the ring after the knockout. After the fight Green said he's withholding Briggs' purse, and did his usual thing, calling out pretty much everyone out there, including Brock Lesnar.
