Can't wait!
With other divisions having trouble making the fights that fans want to see, I think the Super Six tournament is one of the best things in boxing right now. I can’t wait for the next round of fights.
Will Kessler-Green be competitive? To me this depends as much, if not more, on Green’s heart as on his ability. Win or lose, a good showing will convince me that he deserves to be ranked up there with the other participants.
What can you say about Abraham-Froch? When Dirrell fought these guys, it was a boxer/pure athlete vs a puncher/fighter. This is a puncher/fighter vs a puncher/fighter. I have no idea what these guys are like outside of the ring, they may be the nicest guys in the world. But to me, inside the ring they are both ‘heels’. I find myself always rooting for their opponent to win. I’m looking forward to watching them punish each other. Can it top the Froch-Kessler war? I can’t wait to find out!
Finally we have Ward-Dirrell. Two friends fighting. Will Ward fight with the same (somewhat) dirty tactics he has been criticized for in the past against his friend? Can Dirrell bounce back from that devastating blow that knocked him out against Abraham? I can see this possibly turning into a boring fight for casual fans (very technical and/or a friendly fight like Guerrero-Casamayor) without major fireworks. But to a more serious boxing fan, whenever you have two great boxers fighting, it’s going to be a real treat.
