Bob Arum reveals prices for Manny Pacquaio-Antonio Margarito tickets
Nick Giongco of Fightnews.com reports tonight that Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has released information regarding ticket prices for the November 13 bout between Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito. The two will fight at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and Arum and many others believe they'll be able to put 70,000-plus into the venue.
Ringside seats will be priced at $700, with other seats going for $500, $300, $200, $100 and $50. These are the same prices Top Rank used in March for Pacquiao's fight against Joshua Clottey, which drew a bit over 50,000 to the stadium. This fight will have several advantages as a live draw. Namely, Antonio Margarito is one of the biggest names in Mexican boxing today, and in Texas, that will mean a lot. They'll also be able to advertise the fight to a sold-out Cowboys Stadium at every Dallas Cowboys home game leading up to fight weekend. That could be really big. Even non-boxing fans might see a $50 ticket to a major event to simply be a fun Saturday night in the city. Big-time boxing does still have a reputation as a unique and special live experience.
The fight is the third major stadium show in America in 2010. Along with the two Cowboys Stadium events, Arum also promoted the June 5 fight at the new Yankee Stadium between Yuri Foreman and Miguel Cotto.

Arum is setting the table for a huge event
If and when they finally get two top contenders in the ring in the same fight.
This move to Stadium fighting should not be dismissed so glibly. Imagine for a moment just how big an event it would be if we’re ever fortunate enough to see another great Heavyweight Match live, outdoors, in front of tens of thousands.
I know, given the state of affairs, this seems beyond comprehension…but I think Top Rank and Todd DuBoef in particular are on to something.
I admire and applaud their ambition in getting boxing out of the familiar venues once in a while. I hope it turns into a long-term thing.
I’d really love to see a fight at AT&T Park in San Francisco, BTW. Large Filipino population out there. Throw Pacquiao and Donaire on the same card. It’s a beautiful park.

I would be there for sure. Thats a amazing stadium. Maybe we could have Holyfield vs Toney in the Oakland Coliseum.

Maybe the Soul Patrol could perform at intermission.
It could be like Hall of Fame Day
Now wouldn't that be something.
BTW, I do think the kid, DuBoef, gets it. And Arum is smart enough to know when he sees it.
Speaking of Large Filipino population(s), a tremendous percentage of Filipinos migrate world-wide for work, primarily in the service industries, care giving in particular. Many is not most are women. They may constitute the largest diaspora of hard working reasonably compensated sports fans….spread throughout the world. More specifically, Pacquiao fans.
This kid has a following like nobody’s business. T
When Manny is photographed in that dreadful red and black outfit, he becomes a monster
in his next fight. Margo should duley note.
Pray for Nick Charles
