Anthony Mundine defeated Ryan Waters by 10th round TKO in Australia this morning. For those who think Mundine isn't handpicking opponents at this point, check out the video above, where Mundine clearly orchestrated a 'beef' with the domestic level fighter. After the fight, apparently Mundine called out 9-1 former rugby leaguer Garth Wood, who's campaigning back up at 168 and hasn't done much outside of winning the Australian version of "The Contender." Mundine-Waters was billed as a WBA title eliminator, but it will be a cold day in Hell before Mundine and Miguel Cotto fight each other.

Wht the hate for Mundine? Never could figure that out, but it sure is there and it's palpable
Pray for Nick Charles
I didn't label the video, FWIW
But he’s a gigantic douche. I could rattle off about 10 reasons, but let’s just say he plays the heel and he does it well.

Because he’s a jerk. It’s not hard to find reasons to dislike Mundine. He’ll go on about fighting this guy, that guy or the other guy, but instead he hand-picks a bunch of scrubs and nobodies. I’m waiting on him to fight Sam Soliman a fourth time even though he’s 3-0 against him. He’s every bit as classless as Mayweather or Haye or any of the other “bad guys of boxing.”

Only without the talent or the resume to back it up.
I’m almost willing to bet that once he gets ranked high enough, he’ll fight some schlub for the IBO title and then claim to be a three weight champion, even though he’’s only held a real title once (the second time he had the super middleweight title, it was the interim belt, but after he’d already given up the belt the WBA changed it to a full title and changed Kessler’s belt to a super title).

Ted, if you can find reasons to dislike Kelly Pavlik, then Anthony Mundine should inspire hatred around the world.

No disrespect to Aussie boxers because they’ve produced some good ones over the years but it really does seem like a pantomime/circus down there at the moment.
The best young ones(too late for Mundane and Green now, imo) should head to the US,or at least the UK or Germany where there is more competiton and better quality.
I quite like Daniel Geale — or what I know of him, anyway.

Katsidis has headed elsewhere
And Lenny Zappa seems to be following suit. The other young Aussie fighter I’m really high on at the moment is Oyewale Omotoso.

The Aussie lads who post here have known he’s a fraud for years .

LMAO at Shitty Rapper
Anthony used to play League at 86 – 88 kgs .He supposedly weighed 69 kgs for last nights club fight . He has that yellow , gaunt look like Roy Jones jr. Wtf has happened to his body I don’t know but he has the ex roid user look . Anthony is 35 , he isnt getting better opr upping his level of competition . Its become a " small fish are sweet, lets milk Aussie pay TV " sort of thing , although the word is every Mundine fight has fewer sales and less public interest than the previous one . The funny thing is that most people who have met " Choc" when he’s not in " I am the greatest" mode say he’s actually a decent bloke . He doesnt drink or take drugs , he has never been in trouble with the law and he doesnt beat up his wife . Anthony reminds me of a little kid who never grew up , he adopts " personas and roles" . When he started his boxing career he was Muhammad Ali , bravely standing up for the little man against the powers that be ( laughable but nobody said Anthony is a brainiac ) , then Anthony morphed into Roy Jones , complete with Roys haircut , goatee beard and rap " career " . Now Anthony plays at the heel , the downmarket Aussie version of Floyd jr . Thank Christ for my fellow Queenslander Mick Katsides , like Hec Thompson before him Mick aims up at the best fighters and is willing to fight them in their home towns . Cheers blokes and the title of the vid is fair , Brick . Anthony has only fought 4 blokes that are vaguely world class and who were not completely shot . Ottke , Kessler , Manny Sciaca and Danny Green . Green is the only one he beat . Anthony is a good representation of how far boxing has fallen . When I was a kid his father had to fight Carlos Monzon in Buenos Aires for his middleweight title shot .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nedmpE8Piq8 . Anthony calls himself a " 3 time world champion" while his father who was a much better fighter couldnt win one . Cheers blokes .

Some amazing quality film of Mundine sr v Bennie Briscoe in Paris .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M95dou-g5OI&feature=related I saw this one live on Oz tv as a keen little 8 year old boxing fanatic , I remember Mundine was out boxing Briscoe fairly easily then he made a mistake and boom , lights out .
