CompuBox PunchStat Report: Shane Mosley v. Sergio Mora
CompuBox Analysis: Really judge Kermit Bayless? 115-113 Mora- really? The jab was non-existent in this fight, so let's focus on power punches (non-jabs). Mosley outlanded Mora nearly 2-1 in power punches, 124-66, landing 37% to Mora's 23%. Mosley landed more power punches than Mora in ALL 12 rounds. Mosley probably walked into more right hands than he needed to (one at a time however) in an effort to make it a fight. All the more reason to score the fight for Shane.

Mora’s performance last night was disgusting. I don’t see how you can watch what he did in there and consider giving him rounds.
Couldn't agree more
Maybe giving him one or two rounds for being better than he was in the previous round….meaning not stinking up the joint….would be understandable. Maybe.
But that’s it.
I didn't watch the fight but...
people seem really split on this one. Rafael, espn and blh all have mosley as do most posters here it seems. dougie fischer and ted sares both have mora. I didn’t watch teh figth so i don’t nkow what to think, but it must have been one those fights where judges perspectives would matter quite a lot. That is how i envisioned dirrell vs abraham going (it wasn’t though).

I can’t remember what round it was, but did anyone hear the arrogant remark Mora made to the camera at the beginning of a round.
“at least I’m not losing…”.
The guy actually though he was in a good fight. Mosley’s performance wasn’t any better either.

I truly don’t want to have a great big discussion about Sergio Mora’s merits as a fighter or whatever, because I’ve been over it enough in the last four years on numerous occasions, and I genuinely don’t like to bash fighters. I have respect for them all on one level or another (or on many levels).
But I will say this: Sergio Mora possesses zero of the attributes, qualities, or anything else that keep me interested in the sport of boxing and its competitors. That’s as simple and plain as I can put it in trying to explain why I’m not a fan of his.

Respectfully
Decisions like this are what are really hurting boxing’s credibility.

yea...
its so bad for the sport when a fight that basically has people split right down the middle with who they think won ends in a draw…
