Pacquiao vs Marquez: Live Streaming Undercard feat. Jose Benavidez, 7 p.m. EST

Starting at 7 p.m. EST from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the deep undercard of the Pacquiao vs Marquez III show will stream live via Yahoo! Sports. You can watch the stream here, in the video below. We'll also have a post set up shortly for the pay-per-view undercard, and another for the main event. We do the separate threads so that those following on mobile or the SB Nation iPhone app can easier keep pace with the comments.

Here's the lineup for the streaming portion of the undercard:

Junior Welterweights, 6 Rounds
Jose Benavidez Jr (13-0, 12 KO) vs Samuel Santana (4-4-2, 0 KO)

Benavidez, 19, has been hyped by our site and many others as a true blue-chipper. This is just a stay-busy showcase for him, as he should win with ease. But he's worth watching -- catch him now and get on board early, if you haven't already done just that.

Welterweights, 8 Rounds
Dennis Laurente (40-4-5, 21 KO) vs Ayi Bruce (20-4, 12 KO)

A couple of battlers in this one. Laurente, 34, is a Filipino veteran who turned pro in 1994, although he didn't get his career really started until 1998. Ghana's Bruce, 25, is a decent club fighter who lost his last to Gabriel Rosado in July (TKO-5).

Super Flyweights, 8 Rounds
Fernando Lumacad (24-3-3, 11 KO) vs Joseph Rios (10-5-2, 4 KO)

A should win for 25-year-old Filipino Lumacad, who has struggled in steps up. This doesn't figure to be a step up.

Featherweights, 4 Rounds
Victor Pasillas (Pro Debut) vs Jose Garcia (0-3, 0 KO)

Pre-party fun. One of my drunk buddies just gave me even odds taking Pac to win. $10 for free.

This is great. Maybe I’ll post some more weird Asian dance videos. Or not.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 6:41 PM EST reply actions

Hopefully we get to see Benavidez step up a bit soon

Don’t want to rush him too much, but even a David Torres, Cosme Rivera or Carlos Urias type would be a nice little step up.

Vrey exciting, hype-inducing interviews with the boxing pundits. Almost unanimous Pacquiao picks, though Rich Marrotta says maybe a draw.

I thought I heard that, but I wasn’t sure.

She is really funny.

I’d rather listen to her than Lampley

Between the looks and the sort of goofy commentary, she’s not half bad as entertainment.

Pacquiao is going down tonight. I just got an image of the future…or maybe it was an LSD late 60’s flashback, I don’t know.

Pasillas looks very strong and solid.

Tremendous hair, too.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 7:16 PM EST reply actions

Lol, yeah, I was just wondering if I heard that right from the commentator.

by leo_solis on Nov 12, 2011 7:17 PM EST up reply actions

I like how quiet it is in there.

This fight is whetting my appetite real nice. Love watching young guys

by Manuwar on Nov 12, 2011 7:19 PM EST reply actions

It always irritates me when commentators automatically cite a low jabbing hand as a defensive liability. It’s the more classical style and has a ton of advantages if you know what you’re doing.

by Nick_ on Nov 12, 2011 7:19 PM EST reply actions

Pasillas has what I think of as a "fighter pilot mentality, " strong skills and punch, no defense, devil-may-care attitude until something bad happens.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 7:20 PM EST reply actions

Actually, I’m wrong as usual. Pasillas has really good movement, and not bad defense, at least tonight. His straight left looks very good, too.

Tell me if I’m talking too much.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 7:24 PM EST up reply actions

His movement was great. Head and feet. He also looked really relaxed. I think he has a ton of potential.

by Nick_ on Nov 12, 2011 7:25 PM EST up reply actions

That’s how I see him too.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 7:26 PM EST up reply actions

Very good showing for his first pro fight, and no complaints for me regarding the talking too much. More fun that way IMO.

by leo_solis on Nov 12, 2011 7:26 PM EST up reply actions

I only said that because it was earlier politely, delicately, and tactfully implied that I might have been hijacking the Fury thread. I don’t want to wear out my welcome here.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 7:31 PM EST up reply actions

I see, well, for what is worth I don’t mind it, makes it feel more like you are actually with a group of friends watching the fight, so don’t worry about me.

by leo_solis on Nov 12, 2011 7:34 PM EST up reply actions

Thanks. I like it so much here that I sometimes get overly enthusiastic.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 8:03 PM EST up reply actions

Nice left at the end by Pasillas, knocked Garcias head back quite a bit.

Is it me or is it a bit tacky to have a segment about how great you are in a show you are putting together?

by leo_solis on Nov 12, 2011 7:30 PM EST reply actions

Yeah a bit. That said, Top Rank’s matchmaking really is a differentiator among the promoters to me. They do develop fighters. They also build fanbases better, I think.

by Nick_ on Nov 12, 2011 7:34 PM EST up reply actions

When they’re not “marinating” fights to death, that is.

by schraubd on Nov 12, 2011 7:38 PM EST up reply actions

Agree that for the most part they do develp their fighters well. It’s just that I think it’s only just politicians who blow their own horn, seemed awkward to me.

by leo_solis on Nov 12, 2011 7:40 PM EST up reply actions

Big guy, Benavidez.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 7:36 PM EST reply actions

Dude has the frame to be a super middleweight.

by Nick_ on Nov 12, 2011 7:38 PM EST up reply actions

Did they report their weights on the night? Benavides looks massive compared to the other guy.

by leo_solis on Nov 12, 2011 7:41 PM EST up reply actions

Reminds me of Pacquiao-Margarito, except that here the big guys is also more skilled.

by leo_solis on Nov 12, 2011 7:43 PM EST up reply actions

Well, that’s 2 KDs. That second right by Benavidez was pretty good.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 7:39 PM EST reply actions

Santana looks like he has the right idea. He’s had some success in getting inside, and he looks aggressive in a semi-controlled sort of way, but Benavidez is just too poised.

Liver shot. God almighty, they hurt.

by ScottCL on Nov 12, 2011 7:42 PM EST reply actions

I actually like him a lot, and I’m really happy about his self-reinvention.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 7:45 PM EST up reply actions

Agree, it’s good to see him seemingly well and having overcome so many demons he’s faced in life, many out of his own creation. It’s good to see a once very troubled fighter being able to straighten his life somehow.

by leo_solis on Nov 12, 2011 7:49 PM EST up reply actions

Benavidez has a really good left.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 7:44 PM EST reply actions

I think that Santana has really tried to make this competitive, but he just can get any serious pressure going. He reaches Benavidez once in a while, but Benavidez is using his height and reach really well.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 7:47 PM EST reply actions

Jay Nady is tall, and this kid is … not. Which made it extra hilarious that Nady gave his best “lecturing a three-year old” voice “NO … no!”

by schraubd on Nov 12, 2011 7:48 PM EST reply actions

Santana is funny. I loved that

by Manuwar on Nov 12, 2011 7:50 PM EST reply actions

I think Santana deserves a lot of credit for this. He’s just being out fought, but he giving it everything he has.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 7:51 PM EST reply actions

Some good shots by Santana.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 7:52 PM EST reply actions

Santana is really making this fight. Benavidez is kind of the matador here, just waiting to nail Santana, but Santana is really trying.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 7:55 PM EST reply actions

For a fighter that’s been down 4 times Santana is still as game as a fighter can be.

by leo_solis on Nov 12, 2011 7:56 PM EST reply actions

He’s been throwing that right as much as he can, and it looks like it could really have an effect is he could just connect. He’s using his jab pretty well too.

I’m impressed with both of these guys, Benavidez for his overall skill, but Santana for his making good use of what he has. He never fell apart, even after being down four times, and I think kept his head really well.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 7:59 PM EST up reply actions

Mustache guy has to be one of the worst translators I’ve ever seen. He leaves out a lot and add a lot to what is actually said. He tends to do that every time I’ve seen him.

Ayi “Bruce Lee” Bruce? Did I hear that right?

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 8:05 PM EST reply actions

Bruce’s nickname is “Bruce Lee”, man they were feeling really creative when they picked that one.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 8:07 PM EST reply actions

They have their charm. Sounds like the audience is starting to arrive, I can hear more cheers and shouts from the audience now.

Laurente’s corener men were wearing Pacquiao’s clothing, are they in any way associated with Pacquiao? or are they just showing support for a fellow countryman?

by leo_solis on Nov 12, 2011 8:11 PM EST reply actions

No idea. Support, maybe?

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 8:12 PM EST up reply actions

Is that Buboy giving advice to Laurente? If he is that explains the clothing.

by leo_solis on Nov 12, 2011 8:23 PM EST up reply actions

I can see why Laurente has been around as long as he has, and is still fighting 8-rounders.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 8:13 PM EST reply actions

Bruce seems too inactive for my liking. Reminds me a bit of how Clottey fights, covering up a lot and only opening up when there is wide open shot available.

by leo_solis on Nov 12, 2011 8:18 PM EST reply actions

I think so too, but Laurente just doesn’t look like he has a coherent strategy, or even a style, really, to be effective against anyone who doesn’t simply brawl. Just my impression.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 8:32 PM EST up reply actions

That’s the end of that, I guess.

by DrRck on Nov 12, 2011 8:34 PM EST reply actions

Seems that way. Were you able to catch who won the fight?

by leo_solis on Nov 12, 2011 8:35 PM EST up reply actions

Pacquaio Is Exposed-Again

Somebody please call 911, I just witnessed a robbery and I got it all on tape. Pacquaio won 4 rounds at the most in this fight, Marquez kicked Pacquaio ass. Pacquaio better stay away from Mayweather because Mayweather will beat the **** out of Pacquaio. Pacquai getting the decision is another black eye to boxing.
