Roy Jones Jr Promising "The Best Comeback in the History of Boxing" (Video)
Here's a video of Roy Jones Jr hyping his December 10 UStream pay-per-view fight with Max Alexander in Atlanta.
"For all those who think I'm washed up, that's cool, I'm glad you think that. Check me out on UStream, you can watch the pay-per-view, you ain't got to come if you think I'm washed up. Just stay home. But check me out. I got a whole new ballgame in store. The best comeback in the history of boxing begins December 10th. Trust me."
I wonder if Roy would have made more money to work the Khan vs Peterson fight for HBO? I'm pretty upset that I won't get to hear him say "Amir Kunn" that night.
Look, in all seriousness, it's good that no one will be forced to attend this fight if they think that the obviously washed up Roy Jones is washed up, because I don't think the building could hold all those people.
OK, but seriously, in all seriousness...I really have nothing more to add. This man used to be a marvel, the pound-for-pound best fighter on the planet. Now this is what he does, and no one can really figure out why. If you've got the guts, you can suffer through the "press conference" at UStream, if you'd like.

Am I the only one to notice that in his prime he jumps every time he punches? I know he always connected, but still, a little weird. Probably it’s why Tarver flattened him besides his being past his prime. Pc!

Was going to pissed at this video
But then all my fears were allayed near the end when the video reminded me that I musta forgot about Roy Jones Jr. His past performances in the 90’s are a definite predictor of his talent in 2011. YA’LL MUSTA FORGOT about his 20 years of professional boxing experience!

While I respect that there are people who don’t like these sorts of fights because they taint the memory they had of great fighters, on the other hand they are simply an inevitability of the sport. At the very least, some people can say that they saw some version of Roy Jones Jr. enter the ring and perhaps even for a night against a hopeless foe, look like he used to.
