It has come down to this. Due to what is, I believe, an unheard-of level of interest in something of this nature, we'll be here with live updates of the New York State Athletic Commission's hearing today at 3 p.m. EST, when we will learn once and for all whether or not Antonio Margarito will be licensed to fight in the state on December 3 against Miguel Cotto.
And now, thanks to Cotto's announcement that he will not fight outside of the state of New York, we just might be finding out whether or not this fight takes place at all.
Those who have the availability will be able to (or should be able to) stream the hearing via the New York State Department's web site.
The agenda for the meeting does include another "executive session," which could take a while with the three commission members who will be voting, including chairperson Melvina Lathan, discussing what they've learned from their doctor's examination of Margarito yesterday, and deliberating over whether or not to license Margarito in New York.
But we'll be here, bringing you the best coverage we can as this saga comes to its conclusion this afternoon.
