Floyd Mayweather Jr and Radio Host Rude Jude Get Into Nasty Argument (Video/Audio)

Whoa. Now first off, this audio is ABSOLUTELY NOT SAFE FOR WORK. If you don't like profanity, don't listen to it. It's filled with profanity. This is Floyd Mayweather Jr and radio host Rude Jude getting into a pretty nasty spat after Jude accuses Mayweather of ducking fights. Other topics covered include whether or not Jude is black (he isn't), what that has to do with anything (never really answered), and whether or not "24/7" is more interesting than Floyd's actual fights.

If you thought Floyd's old radio argument with RA the Rugged Man was a spectacle, this just might top it.

It's quite the battle. Floyd has a habit of coming off very flustered when he's actually challenged like this. He can be combative with boxing journalists, but not like this, because they don't press him as hard. Boxing journalists need Mayweather. And while Floyd is right that Rude Jude will now be more famous because of this, one gets the impression Jude really doesn't care if this is his one and only discussion with Floyd.

It's...well, it's something alright.

Mayweather returns to the ring on May 5, 2012.

Ricky Hatton fought his heart out every time and this git sits on his ass in a booth talking crap. It drives me mad

Ricky Hatton is undersized.
He beat an old and washed out De La Hoya
Marquez had to move couple of weight classes to fight Mayweather at a catchweight, with Mayweather weighing in heavier than Marquez
Beat an old Shane Mosley
Fought Ortiz, a guy who fought on Amir Khan’s undercard twice.

I don’t see how you can say Mayweather is the greatest when he doesn’t fight the best.

Maybe you should check Manny’s record, too by that logic.

Has it changed to “washed out” now?
I always thought it was “washed up”.

It can be either.

I’m killing four more hours staying up to watch James Toney stink out the ring against arguably the ugliest man in boxing. My humor may be low right now.

Haha

Ok, fair enough. You certainly go the extra mile.
For some reason i’m looking forward to the Toney fight, although i’m hoping he doesn’t get badly hurt at the same time.
Also, always good to watch Silayhk (I rarely spell that corectly) fight.
Try to get a few zzzz’s in beforehand, Scott, if possible.
BTW, i know you mentioned a 11am ET start time but BoxNation have got it as 10am/3pm GST. Probably a load of filler to start with, and throughout, though.

LOL. Lebedev sports what old timers around where i live would call an “oven door face”. LANTERN JAW!!! :)
That stupid sailors hat does him no favours either.
Also, i quite sickened by how he’s using these two formerly great fighters to load up his bank account.
Takes two to tango, i suppose, but then Jones Jr needs the money.
Is Toney pretty set financially or what, do you know.
I remember the UFC debacle netted him a nice wedge.

Hilarious… but i wasn´t able to understand Floyd´s talking, but still, that radio host is really funny and way more intelligent than Floyd.

I disagree. I’m not a big fan of Floyd outside of the ring, but even so, the radio host basically showed no respect for someone who was ultimately a guest on his show. Seemed to me like he was just trying to provoke Floyd and get famous off of it.

Floyd seems sick of being accused of ducking...

But if Floyd and Manny don’t fight the real question is what stink will last longer, the steroid accusations or the Mayweather Jr. is scared accusations.

Steroids are a modern issue, but if history is any guide I look to Jack Dempsey.

If you polled people today I bet people who recognize the name remember that Dempsey was a tough fighter not that he was accused of loading his gloves.

Cool point of view, granted we are more than a few generations removed from that era… Its interesting to see how people will view FMJ and Manny nearly 100 years from now. Crazy.

As a fan of boxing for only about 5 years

I know Dempsey as somone who was accused of loading his gloves

Willard was knocked down seven times — all in the first round — although it should be remembered that rules at the time permitted standing almost over a knocked-down opponent and hitting him again as soon as both knees had left the canvas. Willard’s corner would not let him answer the bell for the fourth round. He was widely reported to have suffered a broken jaw, broken ribs, several broken teeth and a number of deep fractures to his facial bones, an unprecedented level of damage in boxing which aroused suspicion that Dempsey had cheated.—Wikipedia

You know the one thing that was said in this whole mess that rang true was something a few of us have been saying or thinking for awhile: no matter what Super Hulk Pills Manny does or does not take, Floyd would come into the ring the bigger guy for their fight. It’s part of what’s so ridiculous about the long road to this fight that may never happen, and part of why the P.E.D discussion becomes a little knottier when it comes to Boxing.

Holy Moly

That was classic. Floyd sounds scared just talking about Manny. Floyd talking about Manny taking his leftovers is the most hilarious thing ever. Hey Floyd, in case you didn’t know Manny fought the very best fighters at every weight he ever fought. Barrera, Morales, Marquez(at his best weight). Hell he even fought Hatton at Rickys best weight 140, he didn’t punk him at 147 like you did. Floyd, you won’t have to STUTTER every time you talk about Manny if you’d just finally fight him. How much smack do people have to talk to piss Floyd off enough to take this fight?

by johnnyurrotten on Nov 4, 2011 1:34 AM EDT reply actions

ill never understand this notion that floyd has been fighting chumps the last 10 years

of mannys last 6 fights… 3 of his opponents were floyd victims (oscar and shane were right after fighting floyd and hatton 2 fights removed)

and his next opponent is also a former victim of floyds (At a weight floyd got panned for fighting him at)

there is no doubting the fighters manny has beaten at all. he has beat great fighters but so has floyd in his ascent to pound for pound king as well

Yeah, there’s a reason people want to see this fight. Well, several reasons, and a big one is they’re both dominant, great fighters.

Thank you, their logic is ridiculous, and JMM has to come up for this fight. Makes no sense.

by Clove_art on Nov 4, 2011 2:10 AM EDT up reply actions

obviously

This is Manny and JMM’s 3rd fight. Both of their previous fights weren’t at this weight and I guarantee Manny won’t weigh 147 for this fight just like he hasn’t for any of his welterweight fights. Floyd wouldn’t even get on the scales the night of the fight because of how much bigger he was than Juan that night. Guy on the radio makes a great point. Even if Manny is on steroids Floyd will still out with him by 15 pounds on fight night. I just hope it happens so we all won’t have to continue this debate on a website, we’ll actually be able to talk about the outcome.

Thanks

for pointing out the oversight on my part but it actually feeds my point. Manny has never weighed 147 and certainly doesn’t gain a bunch of weight before the actual fight like so many fighters do.

floyds highest weight ever on the night of a fight was 150

and that was in a 154lb fight… so yea… theres that…

I feel for ya bra. Your obviously a big time Floyd fan and thats awesome. But it must suck to have to constantly be on here debating why your boy won’t take the biggest fight in boxing history. I’ve had several favorite fighters in my life time, Sugar Ray Leonard and Sweet P Whitaker being the 2 biggest. Never while I was routing for those guys did I have to debate with other people because they were ducking other great fighters. I just don’t get it, this is boxing for Gods sake. Its what they do, never in my entire life have I seen a great fighter (Floyd) duck another fighter the way Floyd has. Its starting to become comical because he’s being called out by everybody and still no fight.

by johnnyurrotten on Nov 4, 2011 2:26 AM EDT reply actions

okay lets go!

Who has FMJ ducked? For the past 4 years Manny and FMJ pretty much fought the same guys and two were after FMJ fought them first. The ducked fighters: Margarito was a joke, Cotto at the time got dropped by everyone, and Clottey was a huge puss. He ducked those guys???!

Negations fell apart because of Arum and Floyd’s disrespect for one other. I’m glad you guys can support a linear fighter such as Manny, who’s shady camp can’t answer simple questions about steroid usage, as the king of the sport, but making up excuses as to why FMJ is some how is less of a fighter based on his wins? Just makes you guys seems like Pacquiao fanboys and not true fight fans. Say what u want about FMJ’s fighting style, if he’s dirty or not, his outside motives etc etc. I just think its silly that Manny and Floyd literally beat some of the same champs and some how he’s ducking guys, and is afraid of other fighters; is just fandom ignorance.

Plus, I am a young buck, but watching Sweet Pea fight is what got me interested in boxing, and I have always appreciated fighters who have mastered skilled such as that.

by Clove_art on Nov 4, 2011 3:42 AM EDT up reply actions

Ducking

Hes ducking Manny right now. Manny has agreed to any drug test Floyd wants so that is longer an excuse. " Just makes us guys seem like Pacquiao fanboys and not true fight fans" Thats comical, thats exactly what I am is a fight fan. Thats exactly why I’m dying for this fight to happen, its by far and away the best fight out there. If you were a true fight fan you would be clamoring for it also. This is whats wrong with boxing today. Someone like Floyd makes so much money for fighting people like Victor Ortiz that he doesn’t need to fight Pac. Not like the old days , if fighters wanted to become rich the great ones actually had to fight each other.

by johnnyurrotten on Nov 4, 2011 11:08 PM EDT up reply actions

Never assume...

I want the fight to happen too. So all the fanboys can eat the biggest crow dinner ever. I was a fan of Manny when he beat De La Hoya, but once he gave some half-assed excuse about not liking to give blood or not liking needles, I jumped off the bandwagon. Yeah I’m sure they are now willing to take the drug tests, because whatever Manny is on probably won’t be detected by blood or urine.

And Floyd fighting someone like Ortiz is a slap in the face to Manny. Manny fights hittable and old boxers, and Marquez lands underneath the old category. Manny has yet to fight a young, quick handed, power hitter like Ortiz, because Arum is protecting his cash cow. We will see what will happen in May, Arum is just as at fault as Floyd is for the fight not happening.

I Hate

Bob Arum. We as fight fans in no way should know promoters as much or more than the fighters themselves. The Arums, the Kings have done their best to suck the life out of boxing. Us fans pay to see the fighters fight, let them do the television promotions we don’t need to see some jackass like King running their mouths waving flags all over the place.
