Cotto vs Margarito 2: Miguel Cotto's New York Media Day (Video)
Here's a Top Rank video with a generic beat over three minutes of Miguel Cotto media workout footage:
I wonder whose beat this is? Did they make it for a greater purpose than this? Was it made specifically for Top Rank to put over internet videos few will actually watch?
On the topic of the fight, I will say I'm very interested to see how Cotto meshes with the highly-respected Pedro Diaz for this fight. It'll be their first outing together as fighter and trainer, and among many things that have changed since 2008, Cotto hasn't found a consistent trainer. He worked with Emanuel Steward after the Pacquiao disaster with Joe Santiago serving as in-name lead trainer, but that didn't really go anywhere, and while the split was amicable, I just don't think it did much for either man. Diaz is very, very intelligent, and if he's successful on Saturday, this could be a guy who becomes an in-demand trainer very quickly.

that guy wearing the mitts seems superior. Much more speedy, aggressive mitt work than I usually see on these types of videos, seems like.

That’s Pedro. It’s just clips and it’s just 24/7, but I’m really liking that guy. I’ve got a feeling he’s going to be a serious trainer with a nice stable sooner than later.

The stuff on 24/7 has been interesting
The turning, the ping-pong ball, the reflexes.
Cool to see something so completely different that has already yielded results in the amateur ranks.

my bet is that the bobfather went out and picked up a tablet on black friday, downloaded some kind of music making app, and now this is the first of many interesting arum-created beats to come. he’s probably shelled up in his office working on another one right now.
