Snooki to Promote New York Fight Card Featuring Hyland Brothers
"Jersey Shore" reality TV star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is leading promotion for a January 28 boxing card at Resorts Casino in Atlantic City, featuring Dublin's three Hyland brothers, who are now the key (and only) members of Team Snooki Boxing.
None of the Hylands are particularly notable fighters, as all are past true prospect age and have shown no likely world stage ability. Eddie (16-1, 6 KO) is the oldest and biggest, as a middleweight, followed by 28-year-old featherweight Patrick (24-0, 11 KO), and 27-year-old super bantamweight Paul (20-2, 6 KO).
Most interesting is that Snooki is bankrolling a boxing card for whatever reason. Her father, Andy Polizzi, is also part of the promotional team. Irish fighters do tend to bring in a crowd if they fight frequently enough in the northeast, so it may be possible for the Hylands to catch on and become club stars, as they've sort of exhausted their potential in Ireland itself.
How many shows do you imagine Team Snooki will actually put on with Polizzi backing the event? One? Two? One?

You misjudged Paris Hilton; don’t make the same mistake with Snooki!
I love them both. I’m more concerned that Snooki has picked the wrong fighters to back.

You know once Snooki's 15 mins are up...
This will be an endevour she will no longer be able to afford. Sorry Hyland bros. you might want to consider a more legit promoter.
Hell
It has just got them on the front page of BLH…. I know it is a stunt, but it has just created tidal waves in the world of boxing…….
Ok, maybe not. But it has gotten their name out there somewhat. And fighting brothers always make for a good story

I know,
But TMZ-like publicity doesn’t sit well with me. Take out a creditable boxer and the buzz should take care of itself.

Shoulda Woulda Coulda….. I agree with your statement, but when your in the making money business, you gotta give yourself a headstart, especially if your talent level is…. limited

they've all got good records
haven’t seen them fight. who knows, maybe something will come out of this for one of the three. let’s not look at the bad here, let’s look at the fact that some new boxers are getting a chance, and that’s hard to come by these days.
