Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez 3: Full Fight Video
Obviously this fight has been debated to death, and probably will be forever, so I don't have a whole lot to say about it. I will say I think it's the "worst" of their three fights -- which is pretty awesome because this isn't exactly Ali-Frazier II or anything, this is still a pretty damn good fight.
They just might hook it up again for a fourth time in spring 2012, but that seems to be up to Marquez and Top Rank's ability to find a middle ground on a deal for a fight. If I were a betting man, I think I'd list Marquez the third-best bet of himself, Miguel Cotto and Timothy Bradley to face Pacquiao in the spring, with Lamont Peterson as a big darkhorse in the race. But who knows? We've been surprised before.

Let's see Pacquiao-Bradley next -- not Marquez or Cotto replays
Although I’m admittedly a big Manny fan, I really, objectively thought he won this one on rounds, though he didn’t look good doing out. But he’s far from finished, as a lot of folks seem to want to believe after this performance. Marquez will just always give him a hard time, and there’s a three-fight record to prove it. That’s why there won’t be a fourth fight this Spring — there’s nothing left to see here, and nothing to gain for Manny’s reputation or legacy. I think his next bout will be Bradley, who seems to have been signed by Top Rank expressly to be a Pacquiao opponent. That fight has real appeal because it’s a brand-new match-up and pits an all-time great against a young stud, who just happens to be black and American, in reply to the B-Hop claims that TR and Manny’s camp avoid that kind of opponent. I love Miguel Cotto, too,but getting knocked out by Pacman again (as seems almost inevitable) dead ends his career just when it’s alive again, does nothing but earn money for Pacman and has limited interest for anybody but the diehards. I’d take Pacquiao vs. Peterson or vs. Ortiz, too — put anybody in front of him who’s about the same size and comes forward and he’ll look like the guy from 2008-2009 again.
I'd rather see fresh faces get the shot at Manny and/or Floyd
Although I’m guessing cotto gets the reward for being such a star in the TR stable, I’d prefer Peterson and/or Bradley.
Mrquez and Pacquiao can fight a hundred times and they the results will almost always be the same unless marquez makes a fatal mistake and walks into Manny’s power, which is unlikely given his tactical approach and the reducedc punch volume of both men relative to their previous fights the last time out.
Can it Ali/Norton syndrome or whatever, these two are always a centimeter apart. So another match has little interest for me…albeit it would be very very very competitive.
Peterson is interesting but I dont think can compete with Manny. He is a slow starter and Manny is a fast and consistent finisher. Any advantage Peterson may have in stamina would be matched and or exceeded by Pacquaio.
Bradley is IMO capable of a good match. His style is not that exciting but he always comes to battle. And so does Manny. TB will not have the experience and/or the baggage to deter him from an all out attempt to come forward and try to win.
Cotto will give Manny a similar but refined version of his previous match. He will move forward with better balance but he will use his footwork and move back. that is just how he fights.
Marquez must do the same. He can’t beat Manny coming forward offensively, throwing punches without exposing himself. He knows it. Nacho knows it. We should all know it by now.
So bring on the young men…..

I'f prefer Bradley too but feel like its unlikely with Arum
Don’t know if Arum would risk that.

In the end, it will come down to which fight will sell the best and makes who the most money; the first who being Manny.
Marquez will certainly sell and I think we can all agree that Cotto will as well. And though Bradley would be my preference, I truly believe he needs more tIme to sell better…. Or as well as they believe possible

One round in this fight was particularly interesting. Both fighters landed 17 total punches. Manny Pacquiao actually threw more punches than Marquez.
Manny is viewed as more aggressive and has a style that most judges favor. Ok. I guess that’s the thought process. Hopefully young boxers, fighters, take note.
