On Dana White's tirades against Bob Arum:
"Dana White is a very smart individual who knows what he's talking about. That's all I have to say about that."
On why boxing has been absent in DC:
"Because we're a young company. Golden Boy Promotions is strategizing in taking boxing to the fans. Taking boxing -- not out of Las Vegas, or where you have the championship fights day in and day out, we want to take them to the fans. We want to come to DC, we wanna go to New York, we wanna go to Texas, we wanna go to the fan, and we will be seeing more fights out of Golden Boy Promotions here in DC, that's for sure."
"Our strategy, like I said, to take the fights to the fans, and make sure that the fans are up close and personal, getting to know the fighter. Getting to see a big-time event, and not paying top dollar like you do in Vegas."
On Lamont Peterson's past losses and chance Saturday:
"Obviously, styles make fights in this game. He's one of the most talented fighters out there in the world today. It's gonna be a very explosive fight. I believe Lamont's style calls for one of those fights where if you're not ready for him, he can beat you. I'm sure Amir Khan is in the best shape of his life. Peterson has fought the best out there. He's come short a couple of times, against top guys like Victor Ortiz, which he had a draw with. But then obviously there's no shame in that because Victor Ortiz is a great champion."
On why Bradley vs Khan hasn't happened:
"The only difficulty there that I see is that Top Rank doesn't want to make fights with us, or anybody out there. That's the only hurdle that boxing has right now, is that Top Rank does not want to make fights with nobody."
On criticism of Canelo Alvarez's competition:
"It's obvious criticism that everyone receives when you're billed as the next superstar in the game. I received it, I'm sure Muhammad Ali received it, all the big, great fighters received it. Mike Tyson received it, probably. 'When are you gonna step up and fight the best?' We're getting close. We're getting close. This year, 2012, will be a huge year for Canelo. People will be very surprised who is next opponent is gonna be. I think people are gonna tell me, 'Why did you put him in with that fighter?' in his next fight. ... He will fight now Stateside, we are looking to -- again, Canelo wants to fight in the backyards of his opponents. So we're gonna be bringing Canelo to the fans."
