Brook calls out Khan

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12040_6716857,00.html

First of all, I'm not sure this fight will happen any time really soon. I do think it would be a really good fight to see, but it's probably too hard a fight for too little reward for Khan. I do however think Khan beats Brook, since Khan has been to the top level (albeit in the weight class below) and Brook has little to no top-level experience.

That said, I do think that if the fight happens in two years time, with Brook making the same progress he has been, it could be a pick-'em fight at that point. I'm not sure this fight is the right one for either at this point, but hell, it beats the hell out of McCloskey and Prescott, or even John Murray, who I think deserves the shot at Khan more than most.

Khan needs to fight Bradley, that’s the fight.

I think

Khan has what it takes to move up in weight and call out Bradley from there. Let’s see what Bradley’s small frame can do against a young and talented welterweight.

That would be lame of him.

What makes you so sure Khan will be able to make the move up? If he’s moving up in weight, let him fight Berto.

Why should he go up and call out a guy one division lower than him when he can fight him at the current weight?

Makes no sense at all.

Khan looks like he has the frame to move up in weight. Is it so out of line to suggest that in order for these young players in the lightweight-jr.welterweight divisions to get the big fights with Pacquiao and Mayweather they should be chasing them down?

At this point Bradley has more name recognition than Berto and Bradley has found success against a welterweight. You really want to see Khan vs. Berto? Berto has questions over the legitimacy of his claim to the welterweight throne. Bradley is the definite king of the jr. welterweight division. Khan out of these three definitely has the bigger following and is one or two big fights away from headlining a PPV. What is so wrong about Khan and Bradley at a heavier weight? They’re both looking for the same thing.

Bradley moved up and didn’t look so great against Abreu. We haven’t seen Khan at that weight. So why have them fight in untested territory when one of them looks bad? Let them settle their business at 140 where both are good instead of moving up. Let them take on Mayweather-Pac after that.

You really want to see Khan vs. Berto?

At welterweight, yes. Berto can move decently fast, hit hard and there’s always the chance that Khan can get prescotted again. Thats the better fight instead of having Bradley move up.

This is a fight that’s going to happen. These two have been asking about each other for a while now and although it doesn’t seem to popular across the pond it’s certainly a big and exciting fight in England. I’d love to see this in the M.E.N.

Yeah I can't see it not happening

If Brook can get to the heights his talent deserves then it will be real interesting. Brook has pop and speed, the two things that when mixed together can turn Khan’s lights out.

To be fair I think you have hit the nail on the head Chaos. It won’t happen yet. But when it will it’l have fireworks and not to be missed.

I reckon Brook would get far more exposure if it wasn’t for Khan. He’ll probably see that fight (especially if he wins) as his ticket to Moneyville. No wonder he wants him.

Good shout, Phil.

In 2008 Lewis commented on a possible match up with Riddick Bowe. "He waits until I am in retirement to call out my name," said Lewis. "I will come out of retirement to beat up that guy. I'll beat him up for free."

If

A Khan-Bradley fight is on the horizon, I got Khan in that fight. Khan has too much power, and even though Bradley is a tough and agressive fighter, i think Khan would use that to his advantage, like Alexander should have done. Not to mention Khan has 4 inches on Bradley.

I dont think a Brook-Khan fight has as much potential as a Khan- Bradley/Berto fight. Brook is a good young fighter and has a good future, and is well deserving, but I just dont think hes ready for Khan, and he has people in front of him in line to fight Khan IMO. But if that fight does ever come to life, hopefully Brook is still undefeated so it draws more attention. I want to see Brook take on another higher skilled boxer before going toe to toe with Khan.

Turns out it’s Khan v McCloskey next, who is sort of like a mini Brook.

Also seems like Ariza has been mouthing off some more and got the chop lol

McCloskey

Is kind of like a mini-Brook. but I dont think he has the skill or the power or Brook.

My question is, since its Khan-McCloskey now, and Khan will most likely fight Bradley after that, who does Brook fight next?
