Montiel
He’ll be fine following the “Evil Vic” plan in boxing. Get KTFO by Donaire, somehow still get good fights and make good money.

wait -- "somehow"?
Why wouldn’t Darchinyan have still gotten good fights and made good money? He’s really good and generally exciting to watch.

You would think that the guy doing the KOing would stand to benefit a little more than the guy who got KOd. Its a relative measure, that’s all.

Yeah, but Vic has earned it by taking tougher fights than Nonito has, too.

I Love Montiel to death and he usually makes exciting fights, but I think Nonito’s too much for him at this point of his career. When he was younger, he was quite a mover, and that compensated for the fact that he almost never moves his head. Now that he has more of a static style, he’s there to get hit and gets hit alot by the more world class guys he’s been in with recently. In the Hasegawa fight, it was like he couldn’t be missed by a straight left. That being said he’s an experienced pro who hits like a mule and he has the full arsenal of punches. If Nonito’s not on game and takes him lightly for any reason, Montiel get’s him out of there before the 6th round
