Below are a couple of post-fight interviews with Main Events prospects Sadam Ali and Vinny O'Brien following their wins on Saturday on the Adamek-McBride undercard.
We'll start with Ali:
Ali improved to 12-0 (7 KO) with a third round knockout of Javier Perez (8-5, 5 KO). It wasn't exactly the most impressive win for Ali at this stage, but the 22-year-old "World Kid" is already being lined up to fight again at the Prudential Center on May 20, on the Joel Julio-Antwone Smith undercard, so he likely will be seen on Friday Night Fights that night. That's a much better stage for him than these Adamek PPVs, which not many people buy, so really he's getting less exposure than you might like. But Main Events has showcased him to nice crowds in Newark, so he has that going for him.
And here's O'Brien:
O'Brien (2-0, 2 KO) stopped debuting Shakir Aquel Dunn in the fourth round on Saturday. The 5'9" welterweight prospect is 24 and fighting out of East Hanover, New Jersey, with his next fight also tentatively slated for the May 20 card.
