"But being a British fighter and having more support from American TV just shows that as a British fighter I should have had British TV supporting me more... I think it will be a long time until I come back again" Amir Khan, throwing all his toys out the pram and totally forgetting about his fights televised on ITV, Sky Sports and Sky Box Office. This really pissed me off, because there are British fighters who really haven't had any support from British TV (Carl Froch didn't even have the Jermain Taylor fight televised live here, and has been shafted on Primetime ever since) while Amir's had every single bit of support possible. He needs to stop blaming Sky and take some of the rap for choosing an opponent nobody knew, before he starts annoying a lot of people.

Sometimes an athlete's native land doesn't always provide the most support
Andrew Golota is a fine example of this. The Polish media were way more heavily critical of him than the American media. Say what you want about Andy, but I know of plenty of guys in the states who back him. Geoff Ciani (East Side Boxing), Scoop Malinowski (Boxing Insider), Peter Garczarczyk (Nowy Dziennik), to name a few.
