Video: Pascal vs Hopkins II Fight Week Is Here

Jean Pascal and Bernard Hopkins have worked up a real grudge, and on Saturday they fight again.

Andre Ward's one-sided win last night over Arthur Abraham in the Super Six World Boxing Classic may have bored some of the media and critics out there, but Ward has drawn somewhat frequent comparisons to a living legend, and now it's time to move forward to that living legend's next big fight.

46-year-old Bernard Hopkins takes another crack at light heavyweight world champion Jean Pascal on Saturday in Montreal, live on HBO. It's now time to begin Fight Week coverage of Pascal vs Hopkins II, and we'll also have plenty on the big UK card with Braehmer vs Cleverly and DeGale vs Groves, also coming on Saturday.

Let's take a video look at some of the pre-fight hype for the Pascal vs Hopkins rematch, with HBO's Buzz talking to "the experts," and then the idiotic Naked Cowboy and some other folks on the street, none of whom come off scripted at all.

Star-divide

We'll have a lot more today kicking off all the Fight Week coverage, and a ton during the week, including a look back at the first fight between the two in December, gauging the animosity between two very different personalities, a look back at some of Hopkins' best performances, staff picks closer to the fight, a Bad Left Hook Radio preview on Wednesday, and then of course live, round-by-round coverage on Saturday night.

It’s interesting that even after what we saw in the last fight and with seemingly all of the experts picking Hopkins, oddsmakers still have Pascal as the favorite. I did have to laugh at Sugar predicting that Hopkins would get a stoppage though.

Groves-DeGale should be the fight of the night, but I’m sort of interested in this scrap, I guess. Hopefully Hopkins beats the crap out of Pascal, that guy annoys me to no friggin’ end.
