Our Pacquiao vs Mosley live coverage continues after the Red Carpet event on Showtime Extreme with the three undercard fights televised tonight on Showtime pay-per-view. Here's the lineup, and I believe, the order of the fights.
Junior Welterweights, 10 Rounds
Mike Alvarado (29-0, 21 KO) v. Ray Narh (25-1, 21 KO)
Super Middleweights, 10 Rounds
Kelly Pavlik (36-2, 32 KO) v. Alfonso Lopez (21-0, 16 KO)
Super Bantamweights, 12 Rounds
Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. (20-0-1, 17 KO) v. Jorge Arce (56-6-2, 43 KO)
We ran over the pros and cons for each fight earlier today, and took a full look at the fights on Friday. I also discussed these fights on Bad Left Hook Radio on Wednesday.
Join us at 9pm ET for full coverage of the undercard. Our main event coverage for the Manny Pacquiao vs Shane Mosley fight begins after these three fights, and will come in the post immediately above this one. We'll also have immediate post-fight analysis for each fight as soon as they end.

I only just realised that Perez’s amateur history was quite short and uneventful.
He lost in the Cuban national finals on 2006 and 2007 to Luis Ortiz and Osmay Acosta, respectfully but was a World Junior Champion, according to wiki anyway.
He seems to have a style quite suited to the pros though.
He’s still young too…Plenty of time for a 25 year old heavy….So long as he can stay away from the treats and temptations. :)

Alvardo and Narh introductions, just about time to start.
Bad Left Hook
"To the town of Agua Fria rode a stranger one fine day..."
Alvarado-Narh R1

Alvardo with a left inside. Alvarado looks a little slow with the hands early on. Narh trying to box from the outside, which is probably a fair enough idea, especially if Alvarado just can’t cut a pace tonight. Alvarado’s jab is very slow. Narh backed down a little when he gets off balance, but Alvarado is really missing with his shots. Very telegraphed in the first round, not particularly aggressive, not fighting like prospect years Alvarado. Right potshot from Narh, half an uppercut. Narh’s outside boxing is winning this round pretty well.
SHO PPV has sold ads on the round counter. Why not, I guess. O’Reilly Auto Parts!
Uppercut by Alvarado as he starts letting the hands go late in the round. Narh finding Alvarado incredibly easy to avoid overall.
Narh 10-9

Alvarado-Narh R2

God Alvarado looks slow. He’s making Narh look almost slick. Almost. Narh when he doesn’t just back away is able to slap Alvarado’s lunging, slow shots away. Good chopping right by Alvarado after Narh bangs Alvarado with a right hand. Narh backed down when Alvarado sticks him with a hard jab. Now Narh catches Alvarado coming in with a cracking right hand. Narh misses a reaching lead right, then Gus calls Alvarado’s wide open counter “flukey.” Gus Johnson is awful. Then a low blow gets a no-call.
I don’t know if Alvarado looks better this round or if Narh just looks a little worse. Narh backed down again — Alvarado definitely appears to be taking the flush punches better.

Alvarado-Narh R3

Narh with a right, Alvarado takes it well. Alvarado starting to bounce around a little better, looks like he’s warming up. Narh starting to look a little reluctant to engage and he’s trying to stay away from the stalking Alvarado. Now it’s starting to look more like I expected. Alvarado misses a wild right. Chopping right by Alvarado. That was wide open. Narh really wants nothing to do with Alvarado, but Alvarado is still trying too hard to come in from too far out, and missing wildly. Narh’s legs don’t look so great. Left hook lands from Alvarado. Gus is so, so, so bad.

Pavlik-Lopez R1

Lopez is coming out to fight as we see in the first 15 seconds. Lopez dancing around outside now. Pavlik stalking. Lopez now moving around, just wanted to show Kelly he’ll trade, I think. Pavlik with the straight right, but Lopez dips low and doesn’t take it flush. Lopez comes in with a combination, Pavlik slow to react and can’t get back. Pavlik’s right lands again, and again not totally flush. Left hook Pavlik catches Lopez coming back up from attempts to go to the body. Jab from Pavlik. Lopez really moving around the ring. Pavlik with a blatant rabbit shot, referee warns Lopez for turning around. They trade a bit.
Lopez 10-9, but close and Kelly seems to be picking up steam late in the round

Pavlik-Lopez R2

Lopez nails Pavlik with a right. He looks VERY slow defensively. Quite rusty on that end. And his accuracy seems off too. Now Pavlik gets Lopez into the corner, but Lopez ties him up and gets free. More wrestling, this time at center ring. Lopez is liking a little dip down, then he moves in. Lopez RIPS Pavlik with a combination, and man, he is just plain controlling this fight. Might have been the wrong comeback pick.

Pavlik-Lopez R3

Pavlik is starting to look just a bit huffy puffy already. He’s working hard to find Lopez, and then getting even results when they throw, at best. Pavlik throwing power shots and missing. Uppercut from Kelly doesn’t quite get all the way there. Now Pavlik lands a hard right! That caught Lopez nicely. Kelly starting to zero in. Lopez throwing in combination. Leaning and hugging. Lopez slowing down with his around-the-ring movement. Lopez with a hard left at the end of a mostly blocked combo.

by The Boxer Rebellion on May 7, 2011 9:57 PM EDT via mobile reply actions
Pavlik-Lopez R4

Lopez comes out throwing to start the round, Kelly ties him up. Clash of heads and Kelly is cut over the left eye, and not in a good place. Pavlik using the cut to get more aggressive now. Heads coming together again. Lopez firing back, again in combination. Even not landing as much as he did at a few points earlier, he’s busier than Kelly. Now Kelly is purposely grabbing and holding when Lopez starts to get on him too much. Pavlik just does not look very good here. I’m a fan of the guy, but this is a rough comeback so far. He’s slow, throwing a punch at a time, and open defensively. Pavlik with a left hook. Pavlik throwing hard now, and he lands a good one. Kelly finding his range with the power shots in the last minute of this round. Left hook is becoming a weapon.
Nice body shots in combination from Lopez with 20 seconds to go. And he comes right back to it. Lopez trying to steal this round.

Pavlik with a right hand as Lopez keeps moving around. Now Lopez ties him up. Lopez slowing down. Pavlik just a little slow overall. Pavlik throwing wild uppercuts. Pavlik strays low. Pavlik just starting to control this fight because Lopez has slowed way down. Lopez does get him with a shot, but now Pavlik hurts him! Rights to the body! Lopez ties up. Gus says that was the first time Lopez held. Well, OK, this is absurd. He’s ridiculous.
Lopez is clearly tiring. Pavlik isn’t getting any more tired than he’s looked the last few rounds. BIG RIGHT by Pavlik, then another one to the body! Gus: “And Lopez steps off the ring!” Hey that’s a DQ, right? Jesus. He has no business here.

Lopez again starts fast. There’s a right from Kelly. Left hook earlier, now it’s the classic Pavlik right hand. VINTAGE! Michael Cole. And I should mention that cut on Pavlik has never become a problem. Good work by his corner. Bad work by Lopez trying to target it. Pavlik starting to catch Lopez coming in very easily, as Lopez’s hands have dropped and he’s not doing a lot more than moving and grabbing. Now Lopez hit in the dick, and referee gets all aggressive about the low blow. Lopez is taking his time. Pavlik warned.
Lopez seems to have nothing left on his punches. Even landing clean with power shots he’s not hurting Kelly or backing him off.
This really is kind of an ugly fight, but Pavlik is shaking the rust, so it has some value. He also looks vulnerable, so a big fight could be easier to make next than if he looked awesome.

eventhough Vazquez jr isn’t a southpaw, if he just turns southpaw, any chance that Arce has at winning go out the window.
Should I be happy that Mora and Cortez aren’t screwing up the main event, or annoyed that they still get to ref matches on the card?

Vazquez-Arce R1

Uppercut from Vazquez, but then a right hand from Arce. Vazquez with a left hook. Vazquez moving around, trying to box. Arce swings to the body with a left. Arce with a big left hook! Vazquez hurt! Boy Arce is pressing. RIGHT HAND ARCE!
Arce chasing Vazquez around now. Now Vazquez finds distance and sets up shot. Right hand Vazquez, but Arce won’t go away. Maybe this is tonight’s “old guy” with one great fight left. Arce is winging some hard shots with both hands.

Vazquez-Arce R2

Vazquez coming out fast this round, and he’s the one pressing. But here comes Arce again. vazquez looks overconfident to me. Arce looks like Arce — determined and fearless. Both guys are fighting in spurts, but nothing slow. Vazquez with some hard shots, and Arce waves him in. Arce is Arce, always, until someone makes him stop being Arce. Arce with a left hook! Right hand! Right hand! Arce really going at Vazquez and forcing the firefight. Both digging tot he body.

This isn’t going to be popular, but he’s generally the one landing the clean, effective punches, mostly on counters. O can’t hear the sound but based on the replays, ahowtime obviously thinks arce is winning.

Vazquez-Arce R3

Arce is just staying right on Vazquez. I think Vazquez is staying in this thing, but Arce is just busier. Arce bleeding. Well FINALLY. Jesus, Jorge, what took so long?
Left hook by Vazquez, right hand by Vazquez. HERE WE GO! These two are warring! Vazquez now starting to shake Arce a little bit and earn his respect, I think. But Arce definitely has Vazquez’s if he didn’t coming in.
Fun fight.

It's part of his negotiation strategy.

Vazquez-Arce R4

Double punch by Vazquez! Illegal! No real warning. I like Vazquez but he’s far from flawless. Not as flawed as Juanma, I guess. Arce still pressing him constantly. Arce is able to keep Vazquez from settling into a rhythm. I’d like to see Vazquez trade more. You know. Because I like exciting fights with lots of punching.
left hook WV2, right hand WV2, Arce firing with him there. Right hand Arce moving in. Both land left hooks in stereo. Arce digging, WV2 firing back with hard counters. But he can’t keep Arce back for more than a beat. DOWN GOES ARCE ON A HUGE LEFT HOOK JUST BEFORE THE BELL! WHAT A GREAT COUNTER SHOT! And the blood is coming now, and Arce takes his mouthpiece out. He’s up, round is over.

See how hurt Arce was here.
Vazquez swinging, Arce TEARING into WV2’s body, and both guys are landing such good shots. This is a hell of an interesting fight so far. Arce still has huge balls. Now it’s Vazquez backing Arce to the ropes. HUGE shot by Vazquez lands loud and hard. Vazquez’s left hook is really landing now. Arce is getting tagged a lot, but he won’t go away and is still leading a good portion of the action. I think this might be getting away from him though. He’s looking more desperate than purely aggressive at times.

Vazquez-Arce R6

Vazquez now being backed to the ropes again. Arce fighting aggressively still and lands a sharp left. He’s controlling pace again this round and WV2’s countering isn’t working quite so well this round — or, well, he’s not throwing as many counters. Arce landing solid shots as Vazquez comes at him now, Vazquez not finding the money. Right hand by Vazquez, now he opens up. But Arce comes back hard. Vazquez lands at the bell.

This has slowed down just a hair, but there’s still plenty of action. Getting a bit chippy this round too as they start trading inside. Arce digging and digging, Vazquez countering nicely. Just sort of depends on what you like this fight, and legitimately, because there’s not much separating them. This is a rough, tough fight.
Vazquez landing hard shots, Arce landing in return. this is now turning into a PURE WAR late in the round. Goodness gracious. Fuck, hard round to score. Great round, too.

First minute and change of the round remains even. Seems like the pace of the fight is starting to wear on both guys. Not only have a lot of great shots landed, but they’ve leaned on one another a lot, too. Vazquez looking hurt a little when Arce is landing. Just sort of a really uncomfortable expression on his face. At this point, it has boiled down to Arce being busy and Vazquez landing about as many sharp punches. Great finish to the round as they both throw like hell.

Good left hook by vazquez, but Arce just keeps driving. Vazquez slips. Arce’s gas tank here is quite impressive. He’s been fighting hard, he’s old, he’s raelly ring old, and he’s still going very strong in this fight. Vazquez with two stiff left hooks, Arce lands one between. Arce just won’t relent. Arce firing hard shots and pressing, pressing, pressing. Basically Vazquez is winning the rounds for me where he counters well. When he doesn’t, he loses the rounds. Arce wearing him out now! Vazquez on the ropes and might be hurt. Arce all over him! ARCE POURING IT ON! WV2 stumbles into Arce. He’s gassed and hurting for sure. Arce trying to cloes with a great charge. Vazquez slips again — well both do this time. Arce still just won’t let Vazquez breathe. Left hook! WV2 is starting to go, but not enough time this round.
