Video: Danny Green Suspicious of Antonio Tarver Training Sessions
Antonio Tarver has uploaded a series of training videos that feature him working out, hitting the bags and pads, and sparring, but July 20 opponent Danny Green thinks that the "Magic Man" is trying to trick him with an illusion. From The West Australian:
"I'd be lying if I said I hadn't seen it," Green said. "He's lost a fair bit of weight by the looks of it, and he's working hard. But I think he's trying to fox us and set a few traps."
... "There's a lot of feeling there," Green said of his relationship with Tarver's camp. "They've been difficult in negotiations. They've tried to move the goal posts a fair bit."
The latter quote is a reference to the aborted fight between the two back in 2007, when the two were set to fight in the States on Showtime, but it fell apart and Green wound up fighting Stipe Drews, then retiring for a couple of years. Tarver fought Danny Santiago instead, and since then has seen his career dwindle.
As for the training, you can judge for yourself here, and after the jump, the two Aussie TV spots featuring both fighters.

OK, I’m an idiot. What’s Green talking about re these training videos, which look like training videos to me? No tricks, no traps. What am I missing?

He thinks Tarver is dogging it in the videos to make himself appear worse than he is. Frankly I’ve seen Tarver fight lately, and I’m not so sure he’s good enough to make himself look bad anymore.

Well, he does look old and slow, but he is old and slow. Surely Green knows that? Then again, there was Briggs.
And there was RJJr. Does this man never learn? Not sure who Scia(tic)a was, but he probably had it.

Tarver is faking. If not, I could beat him.
