Bad Left Hook Live Results and Coverage: Mikkel Kessler vs Mehdi Bouadla, Gavin Rees vs Andy Murray

Stay connected for news and updates

Mikkel Kessler makes his return to the ring today after a year-plus layoff due to an eye injury, facing Mehdi Bouadla in Copenhagen as a tune-up to get back into the upper echelon of the super middleweight division. Kessler (43-2, 32 KO) won his last fight against Carl Froch in April 2010, and is the heavy favorite today against France's Bouadla (22-3, 10 KO).

Also this afternoon in the UK, lightweights Gavin Rees (34-1, 16 KO) and Andy Murray (24-0, 12 KO) lock horns, battling for the vacant European title at 135 pounds. That show starts at 5:30 p.m. EDT, and Sky will also have a briefly-delayed airing of Kessler vs Bouadla, but our priorities here are Kessler first, then the Rees vs Murray fight. Polsat has the Kessler vs Bouadla fight live, sometime around 4:30 EDT or so, and we'll finish that one before moving to the Sky Sports card, unless that proves impossible, in which case we'll just watch the Sky broadcast, with Kessler on the slight delay.

Remember that Showtime is also airing Kessler vs Bouadla on delay tonight at 9 p.m. prior to Froch vs Johnson. We won't be hiding results, because there's no point and this isn't some huge fight or anything, so get on the live boxing train this afternoon if you're concerned about Kessler's comeback.
