Ronnie Nathanielsz reports that after all the talk and controversy in the camp, adviser Michael Koncz is staying on board as part of Manny Pacqiao's team, and the fighter will take charge and have a meeting with the warring parties:
Koncz said that Pacquiao plans to "have a little meeting" with him and the Pacquiao website handler Timothy James Sladeck who ran the story that Pacquiao had fired Koncz and was very critical of the adviser.
We talked about this whole situation last Thursday, and I think it's good to see Manny putting his foot down on something like this, one way or the other. Pacquiao is such a celebrity and media phenom that even the entourage have become news, and while Pacquiao seems unique in his ability to brush everything aside and focus on his career(s), at some point you have to figure this stuff will get distracting. Maybe this time it has, and now we see the reason all of these guys have their names in the news taking a stand and sorting things out. Good for him.
