For those up early or still up late, Bad Left Hook is just about to go live with coverage of David Tua's rematch with Monte Barrett on Sky New Zealand.

Tua (52-3-2, 42 KO) is one of the more popular heavyweight boxers of the era, but has never quite achieved elite status over his lengthy career. In July 2010, he drew with a thought-to-be-shot Barrett (34-9-2, 20 KO) in Atlantic City. Now, with Tua having since beaten Demetrice King, the 38-year-old Samoan brawler welcomes Barrett, 40, to New Zealand.

This could well be the last chance for David Tua to get into contention in the heavyweight division. He's certainly not getting younger, and his once-fearsome power appears to have left him to some degree, too. If he can't beat Monte Barrett, it may well be time for him to hang up the gloves. Barrett, for his part, was intent on retiring after drawing Tua last year, but has stayed in the sport. In his little-publicized last bout, he went to an eight-round draw in January with Charles Davis (19-22-3, 4 KO).

Round-by-round coverage will start momentarily.
