Floyd Mayweather Jr's legal life is back in the news today, as the Associated Press reports that a new lawsuit has been filed against the fighter and his associates for the 2009 shooting incident at the Crystal Palace Skating Rink in Las Vegas.

Mayweather later denied knowing [alleged associate Ocie] Harris or having any knowledge of a shooting. But police said they linked the boxer and Harris through witnesses, surveillance videotapes and records seized when authorities served search warrants at Mayweather's home.

The lawsuit said the [defendants] now live in "immediate and mortal fear" of being hurt by Mayweather and the other people they say are responsible for the shooting.

Harris is scheduled to go to trial in February 2012. The accusers claim they've been threatened by Mayweather and Harris since the alleged 2009 incident. The Mayweather legal saga(s) seem to be never-ending, in part because court dates have been consistently pushed back.
