UFC's Vitor Belfort Talks Boxing, Says He'd Love to Train With Manny Pacquiao
UFC star Vitor Belfort spoke with FightHub TV about some of his favorite boxers:
"I admire a lot of people in boxing, I believe each season we see new champions. I personally have my own style and I don’t try to mimic nobody but I sure identify myself with Mike Tyson’s style. He inspired me a lot through my career. For sure he is a big icon as boxer for me and all the old school guys like Ali, Roberto Duran, Oscar de la Hoya, Manny Pacquiao, Roy Jones Junior and many others."
Belfort has long been known as one of MMA's best boxers and strikers, and also said he'd love to train with Manny Pacquiao and Freddie Roach. Roach has helped out a lot of top MMA fighters in the past, including Georges St-Pierre, Anderson Silva, B.J. Penn, Tito Ortiz, and others, so it wouldn't be a shock if Belfort did hook up with Roach sometime in the future, and I'd personally love to see it. Vitor's been one of my MMA favorites for a long time.

It’s against a pure shit opponent and in Brazil, but there you go.
I will tell boxing fans this: the more fans of MMA I talk to, the more they don’t care about boxing; however, the more fighters I talk to, the more I hear how much they love boxers. Pacquiao, Mayweather, Tyson, S. Ray Leonard, Hagler and Augustus are particularly revered.
I did an interview with UFC bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz. Here’s him talking about how the best boxers’ ability to not be hit inspired his footwork:

I don't think any fighter in MMA lacks respect for bxoing since they all train it
I think a lot of boxers have respect for the sport also. I think the “rivalry” between many of the fans doesn’t really translate to the combatants.
I totally agree
I just want to let boxing fans who may not know otherwise that MMA fighters (not fans) love boxers and boxing.

Exactly Luke...
People don’t get this at all…. It’s like a triathlete being a fan of Michael Phelps. It’s a big part of what they do…
Vitor and Tyson have a lot in common.
If you’re scared and let them do their thing, they look like technical killers with absurd knockout power. But if you apply pressure, survive the power offense blitz, and fight back hard then they can’t deal with it. They are peas in a pod.
