Julio Cesar Chavez Jr's Hand Injury (Video)
Here's a video look at the hand injury that Julio Cesar Chavez Jr recently suffered, which reportedly happened when he stretched his arms into a ceiling fan, canceling his drama-filled September 17 date with Ronald Hearns. (Thanks to Ismael Rubio for pointing this out to us.)
It's a little grainy, and I know it's fun to bash Chavez and he's given plenty of reason to doubt the legitimacy of this being a fight-canceling injury, but no, it doesn't look great on the video, which does give a better indication than the photos he posted on Twitter right after the cancellation.
Chavez (43-0-1, 30 KO) is out of the fight no matter what you think of it, and while it can be pretty easily argued as an unprofessional move, and it's something that a lot of people are not going to buy as the real reason the fight was canceled, that's not changing. And I can say honestly that I don't feel it's any huge loss. The 25-year-old Chavez now looks ahead to a scheduled November 19 date on HBO against Peter Manfredo Jr, taking the spot that comes with a bumped viewership on HBO the week after a major fight, as that will be the Saturday night of the Pacquiao vs Marquez III replay.

finds it hilarious that he injures his hand by stretching it into a ceiling fan? does one fail to notice that blades are spinning rapidly above oneself? not trolling, in all seriousness, i find it hilarious.
You cannot walk if you fear to crush the ant in your wake.
It still doesn't look bad
I’ve had spider bites bigger then that. Seriously.
When I first saw the title of this post I actually thought it was going to be a video of him getting his hand caught in the fan.
That video might have a slightly different title
