35-year-old Mexican warrior Erik "El Terrible" Morales has big odds in his favor against young and untested Pablo Cesar Cano tomorrow on the Mayweather vs Ortiz pay-per-view undercard, but the lines are pretty inconsistent, which may owe something to the fact that Cano is a fairly unknown quantity, and that this is a short notice fight.

Morales (51-7, 35 KO) was originally scheduled to face Anthony Crolla, who was replaced by Jorge Barrios, who was replaced by Lucas Matthysse, who was replaced by Cano. 21-year-old Cano, also of Mexico, is 22-0-1 (17 KO), but against very limited opposition, and in his most recent fight on June 25 against Pablo Lugo, looked both raw and vulnerable against a fighter far below Morales' level.
Cano is trained by Rudy Perez, who knows Morales very well, having trained Marco Antonio Barrera and Marcos Maidana in defeats of Morales. But I don't think it's any stretch to say that if Cano turns out to be as good as Barrera or Maidana tomorrow night, we will all be quite shocked.
