Quick Notes on Changes

Michael Katsidis (7) is back in at lightweight after signing a fight with Ricky Burns at 135 pounds for November 5. Katsidis was removed only because he fought at 140 in August and made clear he intended to stay there. Money changes everything. Out at lightweight is Vicente Escobedo, who officially moved down to 130 with a win over Rocky Juarez on Saturday. ... Daiki Kameda is out at 112 pounds after making a move to 115 this weekend. Replacing him is Julio Cesar Miranda (10). ... Hekki Budler is in at strawweight at No. 10, replacing Michael Landero. Budler beat Landero on Saturday in South Africa.

Top Fighters in Action This Week

No. 1 middleweight and legit world champion Sergio Martinez (47-2-2, 26 KO) faces No. 9 Darren Barker (23-0, 14 KO) on HBO this Saturday night from Atlantic City. Martinez is a huge favorite, and a Barker win would be the upset of the year.

No. 1 super bantamweight Toshiaki Nishioka (38-4-3, 24 KO) takes on fifth-ranked featherweight Rafael Marquez (40-6, 36 KO) in Las Vegas. FSN will televise on Saturday night. Marquez is the former super bantamweight world champion and a long-running top bantamweight, and at 36 is moving back down for what might be a last best shot.

No. 1 cruiserweight Steve Cunningham (24-2, 12 KO) defends his IBF belt and universal top ranking in the division against No. 6 Yoan Pablo Hernandez (24-1, 13 KO) on Saturday in Germany.
