Here's the HBO Buzz promo for the third fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12, with footage from the press conference.
Manny doesn't seem very comfortable hyping fights and I'm really kind of dreading the "24/7" series for this fight. It always tests my patience after a couple episodes anyway, but these guys are not exactly trash talking thrill machines with a microphone around. How many minutes of the series do you figure will be dedicated to Marquez drinking urine? How many will be about Manny being just a lovely guy? Freddie Roach says that this one won't have as much of his "shit-talking" as usual, or at least gives that impression, but without it, what is there? "Manny trains hard. It's hard to get Manny to stop training so hard. We expect a tough fight." And then he sings or something. Ah, well. That's just the "24/7" aspect. The fight I'm looking forward to, with low expectations for a competitive affair but high expectations for action.
