Boxing prospect "King Rock Blackwell" has all the components necessary to become boxing's next super middle weight super star. Born and raised on the rough streets of Baltimore, Rock may not appear to be your typical american warrior. Rock has plenty sex appeal, a charming smile and a gravitating personality. But one look at the fast hard hitting super middle weight in the ring and it's clear that he is following in the footsteps of american greats such as; Floyd Mayweather Jr, Bernard Hopkins and Sugar Ray Leonard. Rock Blackwell will not only soon be one of the most popular fighters on the east coast but one in demand throughout the entire African american community.

Rock Blackwell fought 156 Olympic style bouts and was licensed to box as a professional in 2009 by the Maryland State Athletic Commission. Rock has only one career blemish (2009) due to a right hand injury, health issues from uncommon levels of dehydration, and very poor management on behalf of Birmingham Boxing Promotions.

In 2011 Rock's career greatly accelerated, traveling to Hollywood, California to learn from the legendary and hall of fame trainer Freddy Roach and later moving on to Las Vegas, Nevada to work with the Mayweathers. Rock is scheduled to fight for the NEC super middle weight championship in late 2013 and will also seek to secure a NABC, NABF or NABO super middle title.

Now highly active in the ring, Rock Blackwell's charming look's and sex appeal along with his exciting fighting style and boxing prowess will no doubt bring star power to boxing and the entertainment world. This kid is no doubt a walking gold mine.

As older stars begin to burn out and the hands of time continue to turn, boxing will need new money making fighters to beef up the elite ranks of the sport. Rock Blackwell will be counted among them. I'm predicting Rock will face an elite fighter such as; "The Ghost" Kelly Pavlik or possibly King Arthur Abraham in late 2014 or early 2015.

Rock is marketable in every traditional way. He's a good looking, exciting american boxer who now wins in exciting impressive fashion, has a home fan base and in time I'm sure will fight on a premier network. We now live in a world where the exciting and marketable fighters in the sport is also its biggest stars, and Rock looks to be in a good position to continue the tradition. The only thing left for Rock to do is to remain active in the ring and continue to give boxing fans star performances.
