Light heavyweight prospect Trevor McCumby stayed undefeated with a first round TKO win over Eliseo Durazo on the Donaire-Nishioka card tonight, scoring two knockdowns, the second getting the fight halted.
McCumby (7-0, 7 KO) was fighting a guy who Mike Lee faced in June of this year, and quite frankly looked far more a legit prospect than Lee did. Lee went a full six rounds with Durazo and even lost one of them, while McCumby was able to put away the chubby little dude pretty quickly. (I don't say that to be mean, but, well, look up his fights -- he's a chubby, tough little dude.)
Durazo falls to 5-4 (2 KO), losing for the fourth time in his last five outings.
The first knockdown came from a left hand, while the second and final come from a vicious chopping right. McCumby threw with intent out there, and looked like someone to keep an eye on going forward.
