Manchester southpaw Terry Flannigan improved to 16-0 (4 KO) with a quarterfinal win in Prizefighter today over Liam Patrick Walsh, winning a three-round decision to advance to the semifinals, where he'll face the busted-up Derry Mathews, who suffered two cuts in his first round win over Jamie Spence.
Flannigan was able to fairly easily outbox the brawling Walsh, who gave a real effort but was a bit outclassed overall.
Up next, Anthony Crolla (23-3, 9 KO) faces Stephen Jennings (5-1-1, 2 KO) in the third quarterfinal bout.
