Amir Khan and his brother, Haroon, were jumped by at least six men according to The Sun on Monday morning in Birmingham, England. According to the article, the men used a 4x4 to block the brother's from getting to their vehicles. Apparently, it was then when the brothers decided to lay the smack down, and proceeded to beat the assailants up one by one.
The article was able to find one witness, which had this to say about the incident: "These guys tried to jump Amir and his brother but they picked on the wrong blokes. They parked their car in front of the Range Rover. At least one had a cosh. One slapped Amir and clipped him on the lip but Amir pulled back and knocked him out cold. Then five of them went for Amir and Haroon — but they stood their ground and these guys got dropped one by one. They left these men with cuts and bruises but all they were doing was defending their property."
Personally, I find these types of stories fascinating. Whenever a group of men try to mug someone and, in turn, get beaten up themselves, well, I find that to be generally high comedy. Add in the fact that they decided to pick on a pair of professional fighters (Amir's younger brother is also one), and it's even better.
I have never mugged anyone before, but I would like to think if I knew I was going to rob a couple of pro fighters I would come more prepared than a single 4x4. I don't know, but that's just me. Then again, perhaps the men had grown overconfident after viewing Khan's last bout with Danny Garcia.
