(Out: Victor Ortiz (Hiatus), Floyd Mayweather (Last fight at 154))

Robert Guerrero firmly, securely, concretely, sternly, cemented himself as the clear #2 best 147 pounder in the world behind Manny Pacquiao. With Floyd Mayweather having his last fight at 154 pounds I didn't include him in my Welterweight rankings for the Fall. Pacquiao and Mayweather aside, I think Robert Guerrero would beat any welterweight in the world. I think he's proven himself with two back to back impressive and bullish victories that he's not only good at the weight, but questions concerning how he would handle moving up are no longer valid. I've been trying to convince people about the Ghost for a good year and a half but no one believed me. I've been saying he would beat Amir Khan and no one believed me.

If those two fought today, Robert Guerrero would beat him with ease. I've been saying it all along that Amir Khan doesn't have the mentality or the strength to handle inside fighters who an bully guys around. When folks swore up and down that Amir would school Timothy Bradley I explained to them that Bradley was too strong. There were rumors going around back in 2011 that Amir Khan and his team offered a fight to Robert Guerrero for the WBA/IBF titles at 140 pounds. When Guerrero accepted Amir Khan turned him down and opted to fight Lamont Peterson instead.

Now, it's clear Robert doesn't like Amir Khan on a personal level. And if the two meet in the future that fight wouldn't be close in my view.

So where does Robert go from here? Well people talk about a fight with Floyd Mayweather but I frankly would rather see Floyd fight Manny Pacquiao or just retire for good. I think Floyd, who's closing in on 36 in 2013 has no other viable or meaningful fights left at this point. Same goes for Manny Pacquiao who will have one meaningful fight left in his career after the fourth fight with Marquez coming up on December 8th. If those two won't fight each other then I don't care to see them fight anyone else.

I think for Robert Guerrero a fight with Marcos Maidana seems like a very reasonable and very attractive option. They're both with Golden Boy so negotiations won't be a problem. Plus, Maidana seemed opened to the idea of fighting the winner of Guerrero/Berto.

Other than that you have Paulie Malignaggi who holds the WBA title, you also have Timothy Bradley the WBO champ out there as well.

Pound for Pound:

1. Floyd Mayweather

2. Andre Ward

3. Sergio Martinez

4. Nonito Donaire

5. Juan Manuel Marquez

6. Manny Pacquiao

7. Timothy Bradley

8. Chris John

9. Wladimir Klitschko

10. Brian Viloria

(Out: Chad Dawson, Danny Garcia, Vitali Klitschko, Anselmo Moreno, Miguel Cotto)
