Manny Pacquiao adviser Michael Koncz says that allegations of attacking a photographer last Saturday night are a "misunderstanding."

With allegations that he and Manny Pacquiao's assistant trainer Buboy Fernandez attacked credentialed ringside photographer Al Bello this past Saturday night, Michael Koncz says the incident was merely a misunderstanding.

"There was a misunderstanding. And if it was construed any other way, then he has my sincerest apology."

Bello has said that all he's seeking is an apology, and doesn't want to get police involved in the matter.

The alleged attack reportedly started when Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach told Bello to stop taking photos of a knocked-out Pacquiao on the canvas. Bello, who was doing his job and taking the photos, kept shooting, which led to Koncz and Fernandez physically going after him, at which time Bello jumped down from the ring apron to avoid further confrontation.

Another photographer, Chris Cozzone, captured the incident, and you can see the photos at Yahoo! Sports.

Most likely this will wind up settling quietly, and it's unlikely anyone will make any admission of "guilt." This is probably about what we'll get, and it's not the worst thing in the world that maybe it's discussed privately between the parties, and none of anyone else's business.
