Pascal vs Kuziemski results: Eleider Alvarez knocks out Danny McIntosh

WealthTV

Colombian light heavyweight prospect Eleider Alvarez dominated Danny McIntosh en route to an eighth round knockout win in Montreal.

Eleider Alvarez isn't quite at world title contention level yet, but the 28-year-old Colombian, now based in Montreal, is starting to make his move. Tonight at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Alvarez improved to 11-0 (7 KO) with an eighth round knockout of former European light heavyweight champion Danny McIntosh.

Official time of the stoppage was 2:02 of round eight. BLH had Alvarez up 70-63 at the time of stoppage.

Alvarez dominated the fight throughout, consistently landing power shots with both hands that would rock McIntosh (13-4, 7 KO) around and knock him back, with little offense of consequence returning from the 32-year-old UK fighter. McIntosh has now lost three straight, all by stoppage, with all four of his losses coming early over his career.

Alvarez might start to break through into possible contention in just a few more fights. He doesn't have a lot of pro experience yet, but he's confident and his promoters believe he's got the goods.

Our live coverage of Pascal-Kuziemski continues here, with David Lemieux vs Albert Ayrapetyan up next.
