Here are some of the mind-blowing, out-of this world, phenomenal, heart-breakingly sad and tragic things that happened in 2012:

Angelo Dundee passes away.

Emmanuel Steward passes away.

Hector Camacho is murdered.

Paul Williams gets into a motorcycle accident, fractures his spine, and part of his body is paralyzed.

Paul Williams, in an interview after his accident, captivates the world with his magnificently positive and inspiring look on life.

Paulie “The Magic Man” Malignaggi shockingly wins a fight by “TKO”.

Ricky Hatton makes a daring return to the sport but is stopped in round 9.

Floyd Mayweather goes to jail.

Miguel Cotto gives Floyd Mayweather one of the toughest fights of his career.

Austin Trout beats Miguel Cotto and proves that he is belongs at the top of the 154 pound weight-class division.

Richard Abril beats Brandon Rios and is robbed of the victory by the judges. (I haven't watched the fight so I don't if it's true or not.)

Manny Pacquaio beats Timothy Bradley and is robbed by the judges.

Juan Manuel Marquez shakes up the world and knocks Manny Pacquaio out!

Adrian Broner completely dominates Antonio Demarco.

Robert Guerrero moves up to welterweight and beats two solid opponents (Selcuk Aydin and Andre Berto.)

Johnathon Banks knocks up up and coming heavyweight prospect Seth Mitchell out.

50 Cent becomes a boxing promoter.

50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather have a Twitter fight and stop being friends.

Jersey Shore's “Snookie” becomes a boxing promoter.

Nonito Donaire moves up to the 122 pound weight-class division and beats 4 top fighters in the 122 pound weight-class division (Wilfredo Vazquez Jr., Jeffrey Mathebula, Toshiaki Nishioka, and Jorge Arce.)

Alfredo Angulo is released from the detention center he was being held in.

David Haye “glasses” Dereck Chisora.

Carl Froch knocks Lucian Bute out.

Larry Merchant retires.

Floyd Mayweather apologizes to Larry Merchant.

That's pretty much all I could think of. 2012 sure was crazy!
