Wilfredo Vazquez Jr and Nonito Donaire have made their fight a bit personal, with wives getting involved and hat flipping and all this. Here's what Vazquez had to say about some of the trash talk between not just the fighters, but their families:
On the press conference verbal confrontation:
"He had his hat on, and I wanted to get really close, face-to-face. I didn't do nothing when he started speaking about my wife, so why does he have to cry like a girl?"
On escalating emotion between he and Donaire:
"I've always been motivated. He crossed the line when he talked about my wife, so now he has to step up to the plate."
On being underdog or favorite:
"I feel better being the underdog. ... It's less pressure for me. He's the star. He's the one who has to shine. I like it that way. ... That's my only goal, to get the title back to Puerto Rico."
On what to expect on Saturday:
"I'm gonna get the victory any way I can, KO or decision, I'm gonna get the title back to Puerto Rico."
With the wives getting involved on Twitter and all this, I can't help but think of this scene from "The Office":
