Miranda vs Chilemba: Purse Report For Friday Night Fights

Isaac Chilemba and Rances Barthelemy were the winners last Friday night in Vegas.

Here are the purses from last week's ESPN Friday Night Fights card from the Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas.

Televised Fights

Fighter Purse Fighter Purse
Edison Miranda $12,500 vs Isaac Chilemba $12,500
Rances Barthelemy $7,500 vs Hylon Williams Jr $7,500

Note: Purses for the Magomed Abdusalamov vs Pedro Rodriguez fight were not on the sheet.

[ Recaps: Miranda vs Chilemba / Barthelemy vs Williams ]

Star-divide

Non-Televised Fights

Fighter Purse Fighter Purse
Evgeny Gradovich $1,000 vs Robert Osiobe $1,800
Roberto Young $2,500 vs Lamar Russ $2,000
Roberto Acevedo $1,000 vs Velvet Malone $1,000
Jesus Gutierrez $1,400 vs Cameron Krael $1,000

Pretty standard payouts for a show of this size. This is what we mean when we say that Friday Night Fights is a small-budget show; these are just not big-time fights. That's not saying these guys can't fight (the televised guys all had pretty solid performances, except the unreported heavyweights), just that this is a not a large-scale show. These guys aren't rolling out of Friday Night Fights and buying a Bentley.

Where can you find these numbers?

I would be generally curious to track average values for each type of boxing show.

You can’t really “find” them. You will find them here from now on, though, as long as the commission of the state the fight is held in releases this info.

nothing reported on heavyweights…probably because they refused to pay mago for beating up the comically fat pedro, who was paid in mcdonald’s

Yeah, that sounds about right. I wish more people knew the facts rather than just thinking. “Oh, well that just bounce around making millions of dollars….” eh, I’ll stop there. Don’t want to start ranting.
