Good vs. Bad in Boxing?

Stay connected for news and updates

Adding to the recent negatives in boxing, Derek Del Boy Chisora recently imploded (again) and, looking for a new low in boorish behavior, slapped Vitali Klitschko hard—very hard—with his right hand… It was quite disgraceful behavior even from Chisora who has a reputation for pre-fight weirdness having once planted a wet and sloppy kiss on the lips of not-so-fetching opponent Carl Baker in a weigh-in situation. This almost sparked a mini riot. It was a prelude of things to come. Also, there was a dangerous riot in Argentina—and two nauseous decisions ala Huck-Povetkin and Campillo-Cloud.

But there has been some notable good as well, particularly a shift to what I call the best fighting the best.

On balance, do you think the good outweighs the bad or visa vesa---and why?
