I love this kid's fight game; He has everything you could want in an elite boxer. Great defensive awareness, great hand speed, great feet, and a balanced array of offensive weapons. But, what kind of head is he carrying around on his shoulders?
I watched his brief press conference after the Mayweather/Cotto fight and I was genuinely surprised. His attempt at arrogance came off utterly silly in my opinion. The hand gestures, the head rolling, and the bad jokes left me highly skeptical of Broner's ability to become a household name in boxing.
Again, Broner is a great young fighter; his showmanship needs a lot of work. I understand the dire need for polarizing fighters in the sport of boxing, but the show must appear natural. It needs to look and feel genuine in order for people to believe it. Anything else is just a waste of time.
