Demetrius Andrade faces Rudy Cisneros tomorrow night on ESPN2.
Junior middleweight prospect and former World Amateur champion Demetrius "Boo Boo" Andrade will be back in the ring tomorrow night at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, facing Chicago's Rudy Cisneros in a special Saturday night edition of ESPN Friday Night Fights.
Andrade (16-0, 11 KO) weighed in at 157¾ pounds for the main event bout, a catchweight fight set for 10 rounds. Cisneros (12-3, 11 KO) weighed in at 158. You may remember Cisneros from "The Contender," and he also faced Puerto Rican prospect Jonathan Gonzalez about a year ago on Friday Night Fights, losing via seventh round TKO. He does come to fight, so he's not the worst matchup for Andrade, but he likely presents no real challenge.
The rest of the card is pure club material, and I don't even know that there's a televised co-feature. Every other fight features someone with a losing or .500 record, except one pitting a 1-0 fighter against someone making their pro debut. Name highlight is undoubtedly Borngod Washington (3-10, 1 KO).
Andrade vs Cisneros is live tomorrow night at 10 p.m. EDT on ESPN2 and ESPN3.com.
